Cats, like the rest of us, FEEL in pictures, smells and emotions. They only really think when theyre hunting, at which time they think in pictures, smells and the fantasy of a full belly. Which brings on the emotion known as happiness.
or maybe in purrrrrr
what?!
What do babies think in before they know how to talk?
I don't think they have a self awareness as humans do so "thinking" to themselves may not be as conventional as we would like to imagine. I've had cats for about 20 years and have watched them explore and make discoveries, experience a myriad of emotions and "talk" to each other as well but I always imagined that their thoughts were mostly of an emotional matter, kind of like a question mark, exclamation mark or just series of ellipsoids to describe inquisitiveness, surprise, love ,etc. Occasionally, I thought I could sense a "boinging" noise when the cat came upon something that confused or intrigued it.
thats when there tryin to talk to you my mum said.
No, that would be silly. They think in catlish!
meow meow meow
what a good question!
i have no idea!
they must do as they dont know any other language!
Meow is used just for humans as far as i can tell. They have many vocalizations for "family" cats or humans if you raised them. They probably think in pictures, like dreaming of hunting or chasing a rabbit or things like that. They do not worry about dying. That's why they are happy. They live in the moment. But do have a memory too, so be kind to all cats!
