What size will a Labrador/Collie cross dog grow to?
Answers:
Reseach both breeds and take an average weight and size. But remember, with a mixed breed, you will never be able to predict size- you'll have to just wait and see.
6 feet high
24inches tall 80 pounds 4feet long
probably 60 to 80 pounds .. or more
It depends which is the stronger gene. My alsation/collie cross is the size of a collie with the colouring and features of an alsation.
you cant really tell but would have thought about 26 inc they are both about this height cant see it been much bigger than that
it will most likely be towards the size of the father, but it could be like the mom.
We have a golden retriever/lab/collie mix, and she's quite big. Very long black hair, collie snout, some white markings, with a few golden spots around her ears and legs, and she's really a beautiful dog. She weighs 70 something, and is tall and lean. I only saw one of her brothers as an adult and he was larger, but males usually are. Needs a lot of brushing.
Hi
I am sure Lab /Collie cross will be a lovely type of dog. Collies and labs are two of my fav breeds. Sure that the dog will need lots of training!
I think that the size will be somewhere similiar to either breeds. Is your dog exactly half pure Lab and pure Collie?
Collies vary considerably in size though web quotes 61-66 inches height. Labs normally up to 61 height.
Dogs are usually higher and stronger than bitches in all breeds, so the sex of your cross will determine the size too.
