i have a mini schnauzer too. i always run with him and he is faster than me, however, when hes a toddler, he cant run that much cuz his bones are not strong enough

Yes. I had a friend whose mini Schnauzer loved a brisk walk until he was well into old age. I think he was 14 when he died.
