i love them, if you could put the spirit of a jack in a bigger dog, then boy have you got a dog! they are fiesty little fellows, are adorable and affectionate too. they do have bundles of energy and are very loyal.

They are awful little yappy dogs that bark at nothing. If you are going to buy a dog buy a real dog like a Labrador.

Did you know Jack Russels were named after Reverant John Russell. So why don't we call them John russells? or Rev Russells?

yes i love jacks i got one a two years ago and me and him got on really well despite him having another owner he is possibly the best thing that has happened to me and i would go to virtually any extreme to keep him with me, OK some people see them as yappy wastes of time but get a jack and you got a friend for life

They are very cute dogs but a little hyper and bark quite a bit and are good protectors. That is why they are on so many commercials, sitcoms, movies. They are adorable.
Yes to loving and having a Jack Russell Terrier. Mine is called Jack of all things! ( also gets called Oggy as in doggy.) He is of the Long Haired,Long Legged variety. Very similar to the original Style of Rev Jack Russel's own dog, but not as wiry and longer coat. He is the most stubborn but fun loving dog. He also has more energy than any dog should have and that's on a special diet. We also had two Long leg, Short hair bitches some years ago. They where a hand full as they could not tolerate each other at all. I will have to look on the site you suggested. Thanks.

Yes I do love Jack Russells mine is a great little character, he is funny to watch, very playful, plenty of spirit, ok a little yappy at times, but he is loyal and I would hate to be without him. I would just like to add he is 8 years old and I have never heard him growl.

i am a dog lover but i have to say jack russells are the only dogs i cant stand, my partners mother has one and i know it sounds evil and i would never do it but i always get an urge to kick it, lol! it just looks at me funny, and its yapping bark is annoying. go for a shih tzu, they are a quality breed, specially the females, i have a female called suzy and shes amazing, shes my little baby.
had two labs ,took in an unwanted jack,he tried to be boss but the labs would just step on him ,he turned into a smashing dog ,
No he invented Lupins and they are a garden pest......
I think they are fantastic and have two of them and NO neither of them are ankle biting, yappy creatures.
