Can/will my one older terrapin drown the new younger one, thanks?

Answers:
if you're keeping terrapins in the same tank, they should be of a similar size. otherwise the small one will get very stressed, because it will always be fighting for food, warmth, sunlight etc with the big boys - and lose. prolonged stress can then trigger immune system weakness and cause illness. But the bigger terrapin won't drown the smaller one.
mine killed the new turtle I got within the first day so its not really a good idea, but you can get a separate tank
GOOD LUCK
if it's truly a terrapin then there shoulden't be enough water to drown him in
it will do as they always on top but then again they can stay under water for a while is well but i would not risk it
