Pregnant 2 weeks, is that ok to go jogging and cycling?
What is good exercise for pregnant women you would suggest?
Thank you :-)x
Answers:
you can do most exercises during pregnancy, but don't start anything strenuous that you haven't already been doing (eg running). listen to your body - it will tell you if you are overdoing it! drink lots of fluids (even if you are not exercising)!
kudos to you for keeping up the exercise - too many folks see pregnancy as a free pass to sit and do nothing except eat. your pregnancy and delivery will be much more enjoyable if you stay fit. plus, you're more likely to lose the pregnancy pounds!
regular exercise routine is fine, dont over do it tho and if you start getting pains stop imediately, dont use weights or rowing machine tho
Your so early, you can do anything. Later on you should consider low impact sports, like swimming, walking, etc. I've also heard that you shouldn't do sit ups/crunches in your 2 and 3rd trimester (after 3 months) because laying on your back for extended periods can cut off normal circulation to the baby.
Congrats!
how do you know your pregnant if your only two weeks along?
If you normally go jogging, than it is okay to continue for so long. Cycling is the same, but I think you can ride a bike as long as you are comfortable with it. I rode a stationary bike while I was pregnant with my first child. Walking is a great exercise for pregnant women, and I would also recommend water aerobics. They are low impact and actually help relax you, especially later in your pregnancy. Congratulations on the expecting baby! Good luck to you.
definately keep doing everything youve done, just dont try to do more than you have and dont do anything that puts major pressure on your - well u know - like horseback riding - or that you could fall from. Other than that, all is good, unless you are high risk for anything, your doctor will tell you.
OH Get that pregnancy yoga dvd. works amazingly!
stay active but keep it easy. and if anything at all begins to pain you let your doctor know. try some yogas or pilates they have some for pregnant women that really helps you to control your muscles and it works in your advantage when its baby time. good luck.
Course it is!!!
use an exercise ball!
My wife has found online forums an invaluable resource for connecting with many moms-to-be during her pregnancy. (We have a 5 month old now.) In particular, the Trying-To-Conceive forums (and others) here: http://www.loungeplace.com/bb/view_categ.
congrats if u normally do this kind of exercise u will be fine u may find swimming & walking more suitable as u progress with your pregnancy
Yes, it's fine. Just make sure you stop if you get very tired or dizzy.
Later on, yoga and swimming are the best. Aqua aerobics is also very good. There is special prenatal yoga and pilates classes for pregnant women. Also, walk, walk, walk
Yes, at 2 weeks, you can exercise almost the same as if you weren't pregnant. You need to avoid inverted yoga poses.
Please talk to your doctor about an exercise plan. The exercises you can do when your pregnant depend on what stage of the pregnancy you are in, and how fit you were BEFORE you got pregnant.
being pregnant does not make you non-functional, and exercising while you are pregnant will help keep you healthy during the pregnancy and make it easier to lose the weight after the pregnancy.
Congrats. Just live life as normal. You are not ill. If you're going to miscarry, then it could happen at any time. Usual activities including sex will not cause a miscarriage. Usually it's a defect somewhere along the line.
At 2 weeks, your period is only just due....(you conceive at around day 14 of your cycle btw. If it's 2 weeks after your period is due, then you're 6 weeks preganant as all clinicians date you from the first day of your last period).
Don't count your chickens..
A pregnancy test will still show positive for about 2 weeks after a miscarriage too. Sorry to be blunt. But it's true.
thats great!! it will make the birth much easier..i wouldn go doin sit ups tho and that kind of thing!!that mite be a bit much
Only do what you usually do.
Yoga, swimming are all good, nothing that raises the heart rate too much
You can do your normal exercises while you are newly pregnant. Once you get to 4-6 months pregnant it would be best to do a gentler type of exercise, swimming or yoga.
REgualr exercise that you were doing before you were pregnant.just don't overdo it or overexert yourself
Is my 16 week old baby daughter too big for her age?
Why is it that when babies are born they only weigh like 7 lbs yet the mom weighs 30 lbs more?
