How likely is she?

my friend, who is about three weeks pregnant, she is experiencing cramps and bleeding she's freaking out because she's worried she is having a misscarriage, she's had one before ,last summer.

what are the signs and symptoms of a misscarriage?

Answers:
Well waiting for an answer on YA is her first serious mistake, the second is not going to a Doctor immediately
Cramps and Bleeding.
It usually starts with being pregenant and you know you have it when the doctor tells you you had a miscarriage! :-(
Dont know but I guess you should seek medical advice rather quickly.
heavy bleeding. If she isint on her cycle. She should go get it checked out with a doctor.
she could be.have he go to the doc..why are you waitin around like fools when there is bleeding involved with a pregnancy?
Bleeding (with or without pain). Bleeding is the symptom most commonly experienced.

Bleeding may be:
Mild Spotting,
Persistent Bleeding,
Heavy Bleeding, or
Passage of Large Clots

There are plenty of women who have bleeding during early pregnancy who do not end up having a miscarriage.

Other warning signs may be:
Cramps (menstrual-like)
Aching of the Lower Back
Passage of Tissue
[Note: SAVE any tissue that is expelled-it should be examined to determine whether the miscarriage was complete or partial (see below).]

[Note: Blood will be red to brown in color. If a clear fluid is discharged, this could indicate rupture of the amniotic sac membranes ("water has broken"). Call a doctor promptly.]

I'll pray for your friend ~ Elle
First of all, if she is pregnant and bleeding, you need to get her to the doctor, NOW.

Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy, constant or irregular. Although bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage, first-trimester bleeding may also occur with a normal pregnancy. Bleeding with pain, however, is a sign that miscarriage is more likely.3
Pain. You may have pelvic cramps, abdominal pain, or a persistent, dull ache in your lower back. Pain may start a few hours to several days after bleeding has begun.
Blood clots or grayish (fetal) tissue passing from the vagina.
It is not always easy to tell whether a miscarriage is taking place. A miscarriage often does not occur as a single event but as a chain of events over several days. One woman's physical experience of a miscarriage can be very different from another woman's experience.
Risk factors that may increase chances of a miscarriage include:

Increasing age, especially at age 35 and older.
A history of two or more miscarriages.4
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use (such as ibuprofen or naproxen) at the time of conception or during early pregnancy.5
Alcohol or drug use during pregnancy.
Cigarette smoking during pregnancy.
Exposure to dangerous chemicals, such as benzene, arsenic, or formaldehyde, before or during pregnancy.
Heavy caffeine use during pregnancy.
Certain gynecological problems, such as uterine fibroids or other abnormalities of the uterus.
Disease or infection during pregnancy, including an autoimmune disease.
Physical trauma.
An immunologic cause—a woman's immune system rejects the pregnancy—which is a factor in a small number of miscarriages

Good luck to you.
Sounds like she may be having a miscarriage. She needs to be seen by her doctor right away.
See a doctor. This is not a forum for expert medical advice.
She needs to go to doctors ASAP..If she is miscarrying then they an give her something to stop it (if its not to late)..Classic signs are cramping and bleeding..Im not trying to scare her but it doesnt sound good..I will pray for her..
take her to a doc but chances r its whats known as an implantion bleed when the featus is attaching itself to the wall of the uturus.
When I had a m/c at 16 wks and it started with cramping and spotting then it went to heavy bleeding and then I passed out.
If I was her I would see a doctor and have them run test to see what is going on.
bleeding with cramping is usually the telltale of a miscarriage. if its just spotting or light bleeding that's usually not anything to worry about, but if its heavy or she's passing clots, then more than likely, yes, she's losing the baby.

she should go to the dr. they do vaginal ultrasounds where they use an ultrasound that actually looks like a vibrator with a condom over it (no kidding!) & this will be able to see the baby & even hear a heartbeat. that's the only way at this point of pregnancy to see if there is a viable fetus

tell your friend good luck & if it is a miscarriage, i'm sorry

you are quite hot
She should consult a doctor, not UKQnA.com, this could be serious.
I wish her good health
Just tell her to relax
not being funny but i doubt she is pregnant they class you as 4 weeks when your period is due because they go from the date of the last period and at that early you wouldnt even feel it ive had 6 miscarriages and 2 kids and 4 mths gone with my 3rd just tell her to do a test and if her has had a positive test the result may have been wrong they arent always right but i think its her period really and every miscarrige to leave signs that scan will show or an internal from the doc
cramps. bleeding. pain. get her to the hospital, like, 20 mins ago
if shes already had a miscarriage then its more likely that she can have another. she should go to the hospital and get an ultra sound or even an internal examination. good luck
didnt no you could tell you were pregnant until you were at least 6wks and ive had 3 maybe she needs to go to hospital xxx
if somthing like that is happening then she needs to go the doctor and get checked out, there may be a chance that she is having a miscarriage or there might be another problem, but its somthing that needs attention.
