Pregnant after early miscarriage?

I found out I was pregnant eight weeks ago. The doctor said that I was still only two weeks, about two weeks later I had bleeding (almost like AF). They did blood work; the results were that I miscarried. AF has still not come. Its three days late. I am never late. Could I be pregnant. They are doing an ultrasound to check for retained products of conception (gross!)

I also agree; I had an early miscarriage and suspect I could be pregnant too (soon after). I also have been told that you're especially fertile after a miscarriage, although every woman is different so some could take a while longer to go back to having menstrual cycles again.
It is possible that you could be pregnant again as you are very fertile after a miscarriage. It happened to me 14 years ago.

It's also possible that af has not arrived as your cycle may be a bit out of wack. This also happened to me 2 years ago.I was a week late and was convinced that I was pregnant but wasn't.

Give it another week or so and maybe do a test.
you could be .. but I was never late and then after my m/c at eight weeks I took nearly 6 weeks before my period came.. they say it comes between 4 - 8 weeks after a m/c and still 3 months later my cycles are out of whack. late and heavy . sorry about your loss.
Your cycle is likely to be a bit messed up after a miscarriage although it certainly isn't impossible that you've fallen pregnant again. However, if you do have the 'gross' (!) retained products that you mention then your cycle won't start again until that's all gone - often done via a small operation similar to a D&C.

In any case, the ultrasound will show what's going on in there. Good luck for the future.
agree with first answer - and I am a midwife
I have had irregular periods my whole period life and I had a miscarriage about 3 months ago and they had to do a D & C because the baby just wasn't coming out. I have had on the dot periods ever since which is amazing. as much as I hate having a period I love knowing when it is coming which I never experienced before in my life. If I was you and your not pregnant again I would ask for a D & C.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
It's possible, but unlikely u r preg. A miscarrage can throw off your whole cycle. I'd give your body a month or 2 before it's back to normal.

I had a miscarriage, but my body didn't seem to realize it as quickly as the doctors, so it kept producing the horemones as if I was still preg. This did not allow my cycle to get back on track. I had to have a D & C to clean out my system. A few monthes later my cycles were back to normal.

Talk to your doctor about your questions. They are there to help you understand what your body is going through
that happened to my friend ! She was told that she had a miscarriage and was supposed to go for a d&c but she told them that she diddnt feel right she still felt pregnant! The did another ultrasound and it turned out that she was still pregnant but she was having twins and one of them had died !
Hope this helps hun and good luck for the future!
