TTC Next step after clomid?
TTC for over a year with no luck. Doc prescribed provera to start period before my first try of clomid but my period did not start. Doc says clomid does not work on its own for women in my situation(i.e women who the provera does not work for). Has anyone been in this situation? What would or could the next step be? Have made appointment to see doc again but couldnt get one til end next week! Any help would be appreciated.

Usually after clomid comes the injectible gonadotropin or urofollitropin drugs. Follistim, Gonal-F, Repronex, etc. These mature your eggs. Along with these drugs are Ovidrel and HCG injections to make you ovulate after the eggs are "ripe". Along with this, a doctor can do an IUI (intrauterine insemination) where he puts your partners sperm directly into your uterus when they make you ovulate. See a Reproductive Endocrinologist.. that's a fertility doctor.. they know more about this than an obgyn does.
Have you been tested for Polycystic ovaries (PCOS)? I TTC for over a year. Doc put me on 3 cycles Clomid- no joy. Went to see a specialist who diagnosed PCOS (overweight, excess hair, trouble conceiving, spots, irregular periods). She gave me metformin, which treats the insulin resistance. Your own hormones start working again. 6 months later (40 pounds lighter!) I concieved, and he is now nearly 2. Metformin also reduces your risk of miscarriage (1:2 if you have PCOS) to 1:10. I'm bck on it to try for number 2.
Good luck, I know how tough that waiting is.

Have you tried the "sperm meets egg plan" ? It's worked wonders for us! (It's designed for getting pregnant after miscarriage, but we did it even though we haven't had a loss).
It's here.

Follow the plan to the letter and you've got a 40% chance of conceiving. It's worked 100% for all the people I know have done it though!
Was on 200mg of Clomid for a year, got pregnant twice (both resulted in miscarriages at 7 weeks), doctor took me off of Clomid due to the side effects I was having. Now the next step for us is Gonal-F injections & hcg injections if my follicles are 18mm or bigger.
I have been on Gonal-F injections now for 8 days & I have over 20 follicles & 7 of them are almost ready to be fertilized.
Your doctor should explain the next steps for you in the process as everyone is different.
Are you seeing an OB/gyn that specializes in fertility or an infertility doctor that only deals with infertility. I have found them to be best. I am going to guess that you would start a series of shots, like Humegon, followed by a shot to make all the eggs that are produced 'drop'. then you would be told when to have intercourse. I could be way off, but this is what I did when the clomid did not work. Good luck!
