Conception?
ok if you have sex 8 days before your period is due. What is the likelihood you will be pregnant?
Answers:
It is definitely possible. It depends on whether you have a regular 28 day cycle or not. Women with a 28 day cycle usually ovulate about 14 days after the start of their period which would be 14 days before the start of the next period. If you have an irregular cycle then it is hard to detect ovulation. Try an ovulation detector kit. Or maybe see a doctor. An egg is only viable for up to 24 hours then it degrades and is released with your period. However, sperm can live inside you for up to five days.
Not very likely, you ovulate the middle day of your cycle (day 14 of a 28-day cycle). Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of your period.
The egg is only available for fertilization the day it drops (day 14). Sperm can live inside of a female for up to 7 days so if you have sex before you ovulate, it's still possible to get pregnant. However, if you have sex after that day, it's pretty unlikely, since the egg is gone.

less than if you had it 14-16 days after your period, but its very risky. Wait a week, take a test and see your doctor about birth control.

That's not long after ovulation. Don't risk it.
ovulation typically occurs 14 days before the period so you have a free floating egg in there waiting for some sperm..wrap yourself up
better than if you didnt have sex at all
you could well be pregnant. either buy a testing kit or go to the doctors for confirmation either way
You are fertile 14 days before your period. Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
It is a free and very helpful website. I was so scared that i could have been pregnant this last past month because i had- had sex the day after my period (unprotected) but i wasn't.. (i started my period already)
You are more likely to get pregnant leading up to your period. Just check the above website out and you will see what i am meaning but like everyone says you can become pregnant at anytime of the month..
Be careful and good luck
every women ovulates at a different time in her cycle, the only to predict if she is ovulating or not is to chart. keep track of mucous and vaginal secretions, take your temp every morning at the same time with a basal thermometer and chart periods. Eventually you will see a pattern in all the variables, and then you can predict when ovulation occurs. If you do not want to get pregnant, use a condom, if you do do the charting, it really helps, ovulation ppredictors are good to.
In a nutshell- you will know when you are ovulating- ie: change in discharge, milky like or like the raw white of an egg(slimy) your breasts will be tender and your body temperature will rise for up to 3 days while the body is preparing itself to release the egg. You have 3 good days while this is going on in which to have sex and it will be sucessful.
After this time it becomes less likely. Everyones cycle is different, my ovulation day is 19 days after my last period. Some are usually 14 days after so u really must calculate your cycle carefully as you only have 3 days in which to conceive.
Hope this is a little more accurate for you..
not very likely.
you are most fertile 14days after you period and two days either side of that day so once that time has best it is highly unlikely you will concieve
best to have sex every day. when I was young I did it twice a day every day for years. My wife became pregnant 11 times but we had three kids.
