Who else hates to see a pregnant women drinking & smoking?
you see it most days, a pregnant women smoking (&sometimes also drinking alcohol). Why bring a child into the world, who didn;t ask to be, if they can't get clean first. I hate to think of that little baby in there breathing in all those 2000 harmful chemicals. Anyone else feel the same?

I feel exactly the same. I also dislike it when you see parents taking young children into the pub with them. Not a good place for children!

Yes, absolutely. Don't they realise what they are doing or don't they care? I swear, when people smoke they enter a state of euphoria or show a lack of self-awareness.

Ignorance is a terrible thing. it is bad enough that they are harming themselves without the poor baby too.

They don't care, they are very aware at what the dangers are but don't believe it, those sorts of people make me sick.

Wow I never saw that happen and if I did I would surely call child protection and slap the mother to be silly. I'm a mom and I would never even think about looking at caffeine when I was prego. much less smoking. Ick those women should be sterile.

Drinking, smoking or doing drugs while pregnant just disgusts me. That is a form of child abuse.
Its very sick. But in some cases if there docs finds out about it and there is a test for alcohol and cigs they can lose there child after birth

I agree. My friend smoked all through her pregnancy. Now her son has some delays in his development. She says she sometimes thinks it might be her fault for smoking while she was pregnant. But then she goes on to say that if she has a second child she'll smoke anyway. Plus her poor little boy is always breathing in her second hand smoke and he walks around smelling like an ash tray because both the Mom and Dad smoke with him around.
deffinatly its only for 9mths but they still cant be bothered. i've had 2 kids, dont smoke or drink often. i even felt guilty having a sip of red wine with my first so never had any more with either. its horid when you see mums smoking in their babies faces. once i seen a dad with the baby in a sling on his chest and he was blowing the smoke in his babies face i felt sick. it should be against the law.
Yes, I feel the same way. It's a very bad action to drink and smoke during pregnancy and/or doing that with a pregnant women present in the same room. It's disrespectful for the baby and the women herself. Why do they bring babies to this world if they can't be responsible?

It drives me CRAZY when people do that! They're so selfish, when they do that it just means they dont give a damn for their child.
I hate it - I find it very difficult to walk by and not say anything, but in this day and age you are likely to get a smack in the face, even from a pregnant woman (especially if she smokes and drinks).
Women like that don't care about anything else other than themselves.
I gave up alcohol as soon as I found out I was pregnant, and have only had the odd glass of wine since I stopped breast feeding my son at 10 months. (don't smoke so that wasn't an issue.)
Priorities change for most women but others .. well ...
i think it's disgusting! u have a duty 2 care 4 ur baby once it is born by law and i think they should make it law that u should have a duty 2 care 4 ur child long before he/she is born. because decisions about drinking and smoking affect the child once it's born and even more so before they r born.
