Should we make it mandatory for all drug users to use birth control?
Answers:
yes as it is not fair on the unborn child to be born into a life of drugs and drug addiction they should have to be clean for at least 5 years before being considered freedom from birth control
Now that would be nice.also for all the men who do drugs too. Should have to be clean for a year before they can reproduce.
LOL YES
That is a good question , but i dont think so..
yes we should
Does this question mean you think that drug users would obey a birth control law even while they break the felony laws against illegal drugs? A bizarre question.
Do you use birth control?
Absolutely not, that could have a disastrous affect on the illegal drug trade in years to come.
it should be mandatory for drug abusers and anyone one on welfare.. i for one am tired of my taxes going to take care of someones addicted child and someones family when the parents can work for a living..
Yes absolutly!1 Then there will not be any of these poor babies born with having addictions already and very very sick and small. Its not fair to the little ones born..#1 they didnt ask to be brought into this world.#2 especially not sick and needing to be hooked up on machines!!
i wonder who's "we"..?
i don't think it should be mandatory,..get the problem at the source..,the drugs in the first place,get rid of the drugs..,then it becomes obsolete whether its mandatory or not..
Er.. that was the Nazis who did that kind of thing wasn't it? Read the Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I am at the moment and its scaring the pants off me.
Might bring a problem in the case of peoples rights, and how are you going to back it up, send in police whilst there having sex to check lol.
I think all people should use birth control until there very sure they're ready for a baby, in a stable relationship and have the means to care for that child but it's not possible to force anyone to do somthing or not do something
Jeez, good point! I was in hospital with a load of drug addicted mothers and their newborns and oh my god, a baby going through withdrawl is heartbreaking, until the nurse gives it a fix of morphene. Yeah, tie their tubes man!
Hey, why stop at "Drug Users"? Let's extend it, and mandate birth control for:
* Ugly people
* Drug Users (all drugs)
* Short people
* People with a low IQ
* People unable to grasp polysyllabic words, or with a limited vocabulary.
* Anti-social and Asocial people
* .
Is there a word for premeditated genocide?
In our form of government where people are free it would not be right to control people in such a way. Even though I know it would to accomplish a good thing. Then government would start removing more freedoms until you would be a slave to their wishes.
What a stupid question to ask. Have you been on a neo natal unit and seen a pair of druggie parents with their extremely small prem baby all down to their drug habit. Shooting up in the corridors and being allowed to mix on a ward of critically sick babies and other normal parents who are going through hell. Well I have and its something that made me wild with rage to think that the poor child did not ask to come into a world where it had to fight a drug addiction at birth, then only to be put up for adoption because the parents were not capable of looking after the child - that's why you question angers me.
dont think it works like that,
from those I have met who have done drugs, many of them get preg. by accident, they dont want children, are aware they cannot look after them but dont use birth control, either they dont have any any just "play it lucky" or they forget as they are so out of it on something.
Added to this I have met those who had been dabbling, got pregnent, couldnt go through with a termination, had the child and never touched drugs again as they saw this new life they had as sacred and special and didnt want to do anything to hurt the child they had.-born again if you like. Knowing well the social circle they were involved in, I do not have any doubt their lives would have not have turned out that way with out them taking this decision and changing their lives because of their child.
Don't know how you could possibly enforce it but YES!! I am a foster parent & have seen MANY children who are affected by their mother using drugs while pregnant, but the same thing is true with alcohol too! My 3 year old son that we got as a foster child at 2 days old & then adopted is a perfect example - Birthmom was a prostitute, drug addict & alcoholic & he has LOTS of problems due to it. And she abandoned him at the hospital so she didn't have to deal with it.
should we make it mandatory for all
alcohol drinkers
less intelligent than average people
people without proper nutrition knowledge
replubicans
people without a sense of humour
ugly people
etc
to use birth control?
yes that would be great idea.
Yes, give them the contraceptive injection which is easily reversible if they get clean and want to have a family.
well, that would be the best thing it can happen, but in reality i think it would be difficult to control. its a great idea if they are using drugs use birth control.
