Should i be worried?

Hey im 6 weeks pregnant an today ive had a light brown discharge in my underwear im not worrid as ive had no pains or any worrying signs. Should i be more worried or is this a common thing?

Answers:
Stephie go to your doctor to be sure! Please just go.
I am not trying to scare you as I am a mother of two and a student midwife and I DO agree with all of these other people who have replied to you, it does sound like just one of those little pregnancy quirks that most of us get. Just get that confirmed sweetie, that's all I'm saying. Don't take the risk of simply assuming it's nothing. Your doctor won't think for a minute that you've wasted her/his time if it is confirmed as nothing to worry about, and so what if he/she does? Lol!

Congratulations by the way! xXxXx
no it is just spotting. spotting is quite normal during the early weeks of pregnancy. you should become worried if the blood is bright red. Good luck and congratulations
No need to worry. Your body is just excreting old blood. If symptoms occur or bleeding becomes heavy, brighter red, or more frequent, you should notify your physician.
I would suggest seeing your doctor anyway, no matter how insignificant it may seem. It lets you get to know your body and identify more worrying changes. It is probably just discharge and nothing else but the fact you posted here indicates your worried. Go see your doctor, wishing you all the very best.
i wouldnt be too concerned unless it is a bleed, rather than a discharge. If you are having little or no abdominal pain thats normally a good sign, however you are quite early in your pregnancy so i would consult a doctor then you know the advice is coming from a professional! good luck xxx
i would go to the doctor and find out what the matter is something might be wrong
You should be fine as long as its only light, but if it makes you feel any better call your doctor or midwife and have a chat with them to put your mind at rest!
i think it means u have to pee.cuz the baby iz pressing on your bladder. go to ivillage.com there good
If anything unusual ever happens during your pregnancy, please notify your doctor. Just call the office and leave a message for the doc. They will know what is best for you. While sites like this are helpful, everyone is different and you cannot rely on answers that others give to be true for you.
Im sure that it is fine, its quite common to get brown discharge, or spots of blood throughout your pregnancy, so i think your right not to get to worried. I would let your midwife know when you next go to see her. Obviously if you do start to get pains or heavy bleeding then speak to your doctor straight away. Congratulations with your pregnancy, and well done for being so calm.
Its true that some spotting is common during pregnancy. However, I suggest that you put in a note to your doc. He knows whats best especially if you have a history of miscarriage. I had a miscarriage with my first, I didn't have any discharge, but a lot of pain. So, put in a note to your doc.Good luck and congrats! Babies are a blessing from God, even if they keep you up at night in the first month or two.
If the discharge is very light and it stops, you're probably fine. Sometimes there is bleeding during pregnancy. Some people even swear they got a regular period throughout their entire pregnancies.

If it continues, consult with your OBGYN or, if they are not available, with your local emergency department as it could be a sign of a subchorionic hemorrhage--separation of the placenta from the uterine wall. Or it could be any of various other things.

DEFINITELY take it easy, though--you don't want anything to upset your pregnancy, assuming you want to be pregnant!

When I was 3-4 weeks pregnant (just a couple days after finding out I was pregnant!) I started to hemorrhage and bled a lot of red blood and even though they didn't say so, it was clear that the ER doctors thought the pregnancy was doomed. I went directly to bed after getting home and stayed there for three weeks. I read about 20 novels during that time and did a LOT of sleeping! My little potential hemorrhage is now 3 years old and just started preschool two weeks ago. :)

Good luck!
I had that at 7 weeks and went to the doctor. She said everything was fine and it happens often.
I'm sorry. You have AIDS.
Its worth checking with your doctor
no that's fine most women do. just worry if its red
You should go and see your doctor. He/she should recommend a scan just to be on the safe side. It might be nothing, but do you want to take that chance?
