Do another test and when?
Please advise - I am worried that I may be pregnant, now I do not think there are too many signs pointing in that direction. I went on the internet to see what the signs are, and one of them would be feeling like your period is going to start, but obviously doesn't. I have missed my period, it is now a week late.
I did a test and it was negative, may it be that I need to wait a little longer, and then do another test.
I am a bit worried, as I do not know if this is just a normal missed period, although I have not missed one in years!

having missed a period does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. because sometimes it happens due to hormonal imbalance especially when you are under a lot of stress.
when you do pregnancy tests, it is testing for the presence of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) that starts to develop after fertilization has taken place . this usually shows up 8-9 days after.
so if you have doubts with the over the counter tests, go see your doctor and have your blood tested.
and in case you need to know your expected date of confinement (EDC), it is calculated as -3/ +7 / +1 for month/day/year e.g. if your LMP (last mentrual period - this is referring to the 1st day of your period not on the day it ended) was on 06/01/06 , applying the rule , expect to give birth on 03/08/07 .. :) Hope this helps

If it's been a week, take another test. If it's negative, call your doctor for other possibilities.
.if you used a "store brand"- buy a "real" brand because I used an equate brand with my first pregnancy it gave me 3 false results. Until- I went to the doctor.
wait another 3 days - a week cos the hormones raise alot everyday, could be stress? change ion pill it doesnt always mean a baby, if the next test is negative go to ur doctor and they might do a blood test for you,
stressing could be causing your period to be late so first be calm. You have done one test and that was negative. If you do another now there should be enough Hcg in your urine to create a positive test result.
If this test comes up negative and you still don't get a period then go to your GP and ask for a blood test.

Ok, you are probably young which is why your are worried. You are probably taking the test too early. Buy the Firsrt Resopnce kind.(Im a virgin and have never been pregnant obvioulsly but i heard that is the best kind to get) and get at least 2 so you can take it at least 2 times to make sure it is accurate.
First of all, Chill out! It maybe late due to stressing!
Second work out if it is really likely that you are pregnant. Did you have unprotected sex (or werent 100% careful) around the time you ovulated? (usually around the 14th day from the first day of your last period)
If you took a test and it was negative you may well be ok as the tests these days are usually pretty accurate.
If I were you I'd try another test now and then again in a weeks time.

If you just did a pregnancy test then you should wait 2 weeks and take another one. And your period is only a week late, it's not missed yet. Most doctors offices use store brought pregnancy test anyway and when you go and it's negative they tell you to come back in 2 weeks because by then the hormone level should be traceable. If all else fails. Ask your doctor for a blood test. That's the most accurate.
I will tell you this. Any pregnancy test can give a false negative for a variety of reasons, but if it says positive. Then 99.9% of the time, it's correct.

if your stressed about your period it is common to miss it . all that **** to do with hormone levels and all your so stessed out about it thinking your not going to get it so you dont but just to be sure yea you should do another test or go to the docs
i would wait about another week and see if you have your period if not get another test or go to the doctor and have them check if your not wanting to get pregnant then take birth control pills and it will regulate your periods
on the back of pregnancy tests im almost sure it says take one after 14 days since you where due on and if it comes upnegetive to be sure u aint then u take anova one 3 days later but id check the back of pregnancy tests to be sure
im in the same boat as u at the mo.did a test today and im 6days late.it was negative.i dont know wat to do either..
