When should my 13month old baby boy come off processed food?

What age should he be eating Chicken Nuggets or Fish Fingers, etc?

Answers:
As soon as our baby had teeth we gave him our food bended, he is now 12months old and he has food that he can hold cooked (broccoli, carrot, new potato, chicken etc) and some food in a dish. He will only eat a little of the finger food but he's getting used to having it, as he progresses we will cut down the amount of spoon fed food that he has and increase the finger food. That is the way we fed our three daughters and it worked for them and is working for him. PS avoid nuggets and fish fingers, they're full of rubbish, try proper pieces of chicken or chunks of haddock.
At 12 months they should be eating what you're eating. Technically, he's not a baby anymore--he's a toddler. He has teeth now so he doesn't need processed food.
after a child is 12 months old they can eat the same food as you but start them off slowly.
buy a blender!!!!
your baby should be able to have soft veg and fruit now. why would you want to feed your child crap like chicken nuggets.!
sorry dont believe in processed food. i cook my own food and blends it.
that is so english ` feeding nugguts and fish fingers are you cooking chips with that..
you want to be cooking some ground food and fresh.
now
Oh god, why would you feed your child processed foods and why would you want to feed them chicken nuggets and fish fingers? What the hell is wrong with real food? Don't tell me you have chicken nuggets for dinner every night.
Spaghetti, potatoes, rice, stirfrys, roast dinners, lentils, babies can eat almost anything, but please don't feed them salty processed crap, its not good for them.
our daughter is only 9 months old and eats normal (not baby) food. they say at about 12 months they should quit eating baby food. But she does not like it and don't want anything to do with it.. So instead of making her starve she eats what we eat. and NO. not just chicken nuggets. If we eat it she eats it.. that simple.
chicken nuggets what do you want your child to be fat & unheathly
you can make your own chicken nuggets & fish fingers (healthy ones)
try finger food like carrot sticks celeary tomatoes
shepherds pie,
mash & & bean & he should be eating the same as you really but dnt force him
It depends on his and his parents allergies, his teething and his interest on trying new food, which will be an indication of the right time.
IF there are allergies in the family (any kind), no rush on feeding him fish, eggs and even wheat until he is 2y-old. If you want to feed him those foods, try one at a time for 3 days at least to be sure he has no reaction.
If there are no concerns about allergies, and he is willing to try new foods (he reaches or asks for what you or others are eating when he sees you), and he chews what he tries, then you should start feeding him regular food (tiny chopped or semi blended).
my daughter is 13mths old and has been eating the same as me for about 3mths. mainly finger foods such as cooked carrots, chips, chicken nuggets, crisps and biscuits. a lot of her meals consisted of things like mashed potato, veg and cous cous but they have beans, chopped meat and lumpy things like that in it. things like quavers and cooked carrot sticks are a good place to start
use processed foods at most one meal a week for emergency
they are full of salt,preservatives...
if you are pushed for time have quick things like pasta, grated cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, fruit chunks-apple pear grapes
educate his taste buds so that you cook fresh meals for the whole family and dont cook with salt- add to your own meal if you prefer after.
broccoli cooks in 10 mins-same time as cooking fish fingers!
i also cook too much sauce for pasta,or shepherds pie,and put a portion away in the freezer to have another day...the kids appreciate nice cooking even if for a while they go through phases of spitting out-
try same stuff when they are very hungry a few days later and you might have success!
he should be eating normal food now but chicken nuggets are rubbish,go to the library and get a book on children's foods.
Gee, ain't it grand you come on a public forum where anyone can claim to be anything, a doctor, a mother, or hey even God himself to give you advise on your child's health and well being but in fact they are simply a pimply faced teen who hasn't seen the light of day for a week since he keeps locked up in his room, on the computer pretending to have all these answers.
With a question involving the health of your child, call the doctor!!
