Of course it´s irresponsible. Those children don´t have any other option. It´s an abuse of power. It´s a violation against their health. Children should be protected against this by legislation as the parents lack common sense.

I believe all parents that smoke around their children are irresponsible because the child is passive smoking and they don't have a choice.
Also I think it is selfish of the adult to smoke, if they get cancer the child will have to watch them suffering and potentially die which is not nice believe me! I know cancer is not necessarily a definite but it highly increases the chances.

i think what is irresponsible is parents who dont inforce their kids wearing seat belts!!! ive seen so many car where their kids are standing up and messing about and clearly see they are not wearing seat belts.

Why do so many people act like smoking is like putting a gun to the head of everyone around them? I work in a hospital, do you know how many 80 year old smokers are still smoking---lots. Its like jump on the band wagon, we've all found something to ***** about and sound self righteous. There are people doing a whole lot worse things around their kids, like: getting falling down drunk, stuffing them full of fast food, driving like jerks and not having car seats, taking drugs, knocking each other around--just to name a few. Try yapping about those things for a while.
Absolutly. 2nd degree smoke causes cancer. As a parent you choose to inflict this on yourself, a child in the car with a smoker has no choice. One day I hope it will be seen as a chargable offence to do this

Yes I think it is. My mom said her parents used to smoke in the car and she hated it! Plus it's not good for them. Parents should have some consideration. They don't have to smoke but their children do have to breathe.

There are many health problems that come from smoking for adults. Imagine what health problems children can get from people that light up a ***, and the children inhaling your smoke.
