How can I get my 4 yr old daughter to stop chewing everything i.e. toys, hair, fingernails?
Answers:
smear poop on all of it.
get her a chew toy, like you would for a puppy.
She could have a nerve problem. Talk to he doctor.
put food in her mouth or tell her things can give her coodies or something
muzzles are good :)
hmmm, ignore her-dont tell her off when she does it.My sister grunted incessantly, like she had a tickle in her throat-and it got worse when my dad would yell at her to stop.So he didnt mention it anymore and she stopped doing it after a few weeks.Hopefully your daughter will just grow out of it, good luck
Give her regular meals,eg. Breakfast,Lunch and Evening meal.
Tabasco sauce
maybe its a comfort thing or shes got problems with here teeth!
See a doctor. in the meantime apply some hotsauce to the toys that will stop her unless she likes hot stuff
Take her and have her tested for lead poisoning. That is one of the biggest signs is chewing on things. My son was real bad, he chewed on his shirts and anything plastic. I hope it helps
kick her teeth down her throat, that should fix it at once ! If she still uses her toothless gums to chew on things then hit her with pepper spray and kick her down a flight of stairs
at drug stores there are clear nail polishes that taste bad so she stops chewing her nails. also tell her u will give her hot sause if she chew things. it really is only soy sauce though, but if you tell her it is super hot, shell think it is
A quick and safe way is to if possible. Some of her favorite chewing items dip in or get a paper towel dip it in some vinegar and rub it on the item. Let it dry. The next time she decides to chew on these things the taste will ween her from chewing on items. Good luck. kenziebuchanan@hotmail.com if you have anymore questions.
My son does this and he is 6. I keep asking him to stop doing it but he does it more when he is around people. He is fine at home so I think that children do it when they are nervous. Im going to be taking my son to the GP to see what I could do to help him. It does not happen with his friends but Im sure you could get to the bottom of this, just go to the GP and see what they can advise you on. Good Luck. I konw what you are going through.
let her chew gum or on a straw while you try to break the habit
This could be related to anxiety, check with your doctor, and for the time being give her some gummy bears. And, talk to her about it, let her know it's wrong, and things are dirty, say it in a graceful way,
