Creationism v evolutionism?

when i sneered that highly educated in u.s. were tearing each other apart over this even my yob friends had very strong reactions;my muslim friend said that of cours e god had created the garden of eden and put adam an d eve and all the stuff in it;he got quite insistent about it;**** no.2 said some utter cra**** about there not being enuff room in hte Ark for a couple of all the species in he world inc. the microscopic ones ? er what does this have to do with anything?
they are all mad are they not and anywa y that bloated boozey looking fish that they had on the news recently as hte first thing that crawled on land three and a half billion years ago sorry that sentence was so long i forget what i was talking about by the time i got to hte end well they got that fish from the local chippy
anywasy even if darwin was right in his theory of evolution it does not preclude the existence of god
someone is definitelly losing it here and is off their trolley and it is not as if proof

everyone has their own beliefs, and will believe whatever they want to believe. simple as that
I believe in intelligent design there is a maker out there evolution has just happened far too quickly
My Mom is Catholic and she believes that evolution doesn't preclude the existence of God. She has no problem believing that God set up the process that is the Big Bang (which would have occurred Day 1 in Genesis) and that Evolution is the continuing process that he started.

Needless to say, I don't believe in the God had a hand part, but I'm glad that my mom is at least that progressive. She is intelligent enough to give science the benefit of the doubt and still maintain her faith.
What about this ?

millions of years ago we all lived on a different planet which was dying slowly pretty much like our own, so they set out to find a new one..Earth inhabited with big scary animals so they sent a rocket to clear the planet, after some time sent some monkeys to see if they would survive(Darwin) and there you go send in the people,, bright lights in the sky could be space ships,the ark could be the name of the ship(space), garden of Eden could be the place before earth etc etc .. you could go on forever..but do we have to know about the past surly we should be thinking about the future.. you here for a good time not a long and doesn't life go by in a blink..fit as much as you can in meet as many people as you can and make your own mind up ;-)

I think if you treat people with the same respect you would like yourself whatever the case may be the world would be a happier place live and let live,
