At what month did your baby first fall off the bed?
My baby fell off the bed at 2 months. I almost cried. And again at 6 months. and bumped her head twice. How many times has your baby fallen? Can you tell me your stories so i dont feel so bad.
Answers:
My son was about 5 months when he first fell off of my bed. He done it a couple times after that too. It happens when their trying to learn how to get down. Thankfully our bed is low to the floor.

Be careful. This kind of thing can be misinterpreted.
ummm my daughter is almost 1 year old and never fell off the bed, dont feel bad it happens to lots of people
My son figured out how to crawl out of his bassinet at 4 months. I had it next to my bed because I was still nursing. anyway he had fallen under his bassinet, because he tried to get onto my bed and slipped between! He is 2 now and the biggest little daredevil I have ever seen!
my baby fell off the bed at my MIL's house while she was sitting. She didn't realize the baby could roll off. She was probably 3 or 4 months. She was fine but I insisted that she not sleep on the bed again.
my 2.5 year old never has. But my 4 year old has fallen off of his bed about 5 times since he got his big boy bed (meaning twin, not toddler) around 3.75.
My bro fell out of our bed like a hundred times, and he is still alive 10 years later! Hahahahaha! Don't worry so much, it's not like if it has a bruise or something, right?!
It happen to my daughter a few times.she is 20 months and sleeps in my bed sometimes and she has fallen off the bed before. My bad is low to the ground so it wasn't a far drop but enough to wake her up crying
Yo twinkle is your real name Britney Spears? You is a bad mother and thats all there is to it.
you should feel bad why the hell are you leaving a kid on the bed thats mobile.
so far ive been lucky and my five month old hasnt fallen yet
lol. my friend fell off the bed at 1 mo. and broke her collarbone.
my lil brother also fell off at 2 mo. and cracked his head :S
i asked my mom and she said when i was about 9 months and i fell off a hamok
You know, my baby has fallen when he is 4 month.he was fallen from the bed, fortunately he was fallen on the pillow. So, after that incident i put my mattress on the floor. He was fallen for many times but i'm not so affraid and feel so guilty anymore, coz' he fallen not from the high place anymore..
it happens easily, and now..8 kids later..i dont rush down to casualty asking for a brain scan like i did first time. One daughter, at two, went down the stairs, a cut lip, looks so bad, bloody and heart stopping, again casualty confirmed.all ok..dont worry, these things happen, in the blink of an eye.
its not bad parenting, its real life...
It does happen, even to the best mothers.
You're questions suggest you are worrying quite a bit. My advice is to not worry about worrying! Its natural.
I also suggest that you be careful coming on here as some answers may make you feel worse. People can be spiteful. Don't take any notice of them. Be the best parent you can be and enjoy being a mum.
:o)
Maybe you should let her sleep in a crib instead? I'd be freaked out too if my 2-month-old fell off the bed! My son did once at 8 months and that was really scary for me.
it happens, this is nothing wait till they get older and you have to deal with riding bikes surfing, skateboards bungy jumping and blood and all the other stuff, his mum freaks all the time, mines Seven.
Never! My babies always slept in their cribs.
Babies roll off the bed ALL THE TIME and you always feel like your heart is jumping out of your mouth! I babysat my 4 month cousin, and she rolled off the bed "thud!" and my aunt was not pleased - the second time, from my own incompetence, I figured she'd be ok if I left her on the furthest corner of the bed (near the wall) but she still managed to roll off but thank god she landed on a bean bag and no one ever knew (and she couldn't talk.)
For the record, she's 11 now and in good health!
I have also fallen down the stairs and down 5 flights of stairs in Marks and Spencer (aged one and I still have a few scars). Really tho don't feel bad - these kind of things HAVE to happen to complete your childhood!
our baby fell out of bed once and bumped his head, my wife was distraught, i'm a registered nurse, i came home in the middle of my nightshift to examine him.. my finding were astonishing, my wife was more injured than him!! <<crying>>
No matter how careful you are this seems to happen to everyone.
Its a great laugh when they're 5 yrs old and they fall out!
Thump! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh !!
my baby has never fallen off the bed. You need to be more careful with your child before DCF takes her away.
Maybe you shouldn't be putting the baby on the bed. They make cribs with sides for a reason. You know it doesn't have to be a fall from a very high place to seriously injure a baby. Why don't you think before you put the baby back down on the bed again. And you should feel bad you caused your baby to get hurt.
I had my baby on the couch at 4 months old, we were watching "bob the builder" and that day is when he learned to roll over...and right off the couch! I believe I cried 10 times more than he did! It happens to the best of us and you learn from it and learn to anticipate accidents before they happen so that you can prevent them. I'm sorry that you only wanted stories to make you feel better and rude people have to make their mean-spirited comments. They either don't have children or are completely in denial that they think they have always been perfect parents. Maybe their kids haven't fallen off the bed, but I bet they've had a few bumps and bruises that could have been prevented. Don't listen to them, they are just the negative jerks who have to make a big huge stink out of everything.
my 6 year old fell off the bed at 3 months. She is fine. My 4 year old fell off the bed at 4 months and rolled under the bed. She is still accident prone to this day. I swear she can trip over her own two feet. On a DAILY basis I hear the sentence "I fine!" after a huge THUMP!! still feel bad?
my bed is like a 70s bed its low to the floor, but i was sitting on it and folding clothes while my daughter was drinking from her bottle when all of the sudden she just rolled over so quickly i grabbed her pants leg and caught her. she was smiling but i was shaking! it scared me so bad i made sure she was in the playpen or something before i done anything else that takes my attention, all my girls have had this happen too in different ways.
Don't feel bad. She won't remember it, and as long as she didn't get hurt, it's all right.
My son is 8 months old, and so far he's only gone off the side one. He went over on his belly, feet first, though, so he actually landed on his feet and stayed standing. I saw it happening, and reached for him, but I only caught his arm in time to balance him. He thought it was hilarious! Now he heads for the edge everytime I set him down.
I know he'll fall over sooner or later, but my bed is only three matresses piled on top of each other, so I'm not too worried.
My niece is 11 months old now, and she's fallen off the bed several times. So far, they've been lucky and she's been more scared than hurt, and I think her mom finally clued in and stopped leaving her alone on the bed.
My cousin is 13 now, but when she was a small toddler, she fell off the couch and broker her arm.
my son fell off the bed when he was almost 2 months not quite id been up w/him the whole night and I was jus exhasted and i fell asleep for maby 2 min with him on me ((my stomach on his back) yeah and he fell off my queen sized bed I WAS HISTERICAL IT WAS THE WORSE DAY OF MY LIFE I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK I GOT MABY a HR OF SLEEP THAT DAY WE WENT TO THE HOSPITALS AND WENT AND GOT MRI's WOW VBAD BAD BAD DAY
dont worry every baby has there falls and bangs i was whatching my little brother and he feel from the sofa and he screamed and screamed and i fort i had really hurt him but after about an hour he was fine and he came and gave me a cuddle. your baby still loves you
Don't worry. You're not a bad mother. There are probably very few people out there who haven't had the baby roll off the bed, dropped it, or bumped it while carryng it at some point. They just won't admit it !
should I give my baby a dummy?
My son has not reached some of gross motor development milestones such as rolling over and crawling?
Have you ever been EMANCIPATED?
