25 weeks pregnant and still being sick?

I have had all-day (not MORNING) sickness and nausea for months. I have a severe aversion to all things 'good for me' and I'm becoming more fusy every day. I'm taking vitamins to try and give my baby some nutrient but I know thats not the answer..help!

Answers:
I was sick the whole way through my pregnancy. You could try using travel sickness bands they help a little or try taking a ginger supplement.
I was sick for 40 weeks. It happens. eat small amounts of healthy foods when you can tolerate them. Your body knows what you need so it will not reject the thingsyou need to eat when you really need them. Good luck :-(

ETA: My Dr. told me I could take sominex to help with nausea but it's a sleeping pill! I told him I function better sick than I do sleepy, and I declined, lol
Try not taking the high level iron vitamins for a few days that may help.

OR see MD and get a prescription of Dilectin (save during pregnancy).
You might want to remain in bed until it passes.
Your doctor can give you prenatal vitamins and folic acid for iron for the fetus. Try drinking a cup of hot tea with some saltine crackers it always worked for me. Don't worry it will all be over soon.
I HAD THREE PREGNANCIES
MY FIRST TWO WERE GREAT
THE LAST ONE - WELL, NAUSEA ALL DAY LONG
FOR THE WHOLE NINE MONTHS - TROUBLE EATING.
TURNED TO HOMEMADE MALTEDS WITH CARNATION
INSTANT BREAKFAST, LOW FAT MILK AND LOTS
OF FRUITS...IT WORKED. GOOD LUCK
Sometimes it happens! All I can say it take your vitamins and try your best. Ask your doctor if you can take an extra B-6 vitiamin supplement. It is supposed to help a lot with the sickness, but make sure you ask the doctor first. My morning sickness was so bad, I lost over 15 lbs my 1 trimester. I couldn't eat anything, water even made me sick. Good Luck, and I hope it gets better. Oh and another thing, try healthy carbs for some good foods. Whole wheat buns or noodles. The carbs are supposed to be comforting and as long as they are the complex carbs, good for you too
dont worry some people are sick until they push the baby out. but tell your doctor that its effecting the way your eating and your worried the baby's not getting enough nutrition. He should be able to give you a prescription that will not harm the baby and that is for your stage of pregnancy and and level of sickness. I was really sick up until alittle bit after my third month and when i was 8 weeks pregnant my doctor gave me a prescription and it worked really well.
I have still been sick and i am 30wks so it probably will last til end of pregnancy or stop at ur 3rd trimester
I think you should see a doctor, proper one, not just GP
Have a serious talk with your Dr. There are medications that are safe for you to take during pregnancy to stop this.

I was sick from 6 weeks all the way through the end of my 6th month with my 4th child. All day, every single day.. vomiting sometimes as much as 40 times a day. I was in the ER several times to be rehydrated. My Dr. would never give me anything for it, so I just had to deal with it. I had the same problem with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies and even knowing how bad, my Dr. still refused.

It is pretty much up to the Dr.(unfortunately you may just have to deal with it until it finally passes)

Congrats, and I hope you feel better soon.
it can happen. esp during first regnancy

you must take meclozine (Navidoxine) at bed time and then at early morning.

try to take dry food and have water in addition.. avoid oily stuff

it should help you
You should have a word with your GP or midwife, to make sure you are getting all the right nutrients.
All day sickness this far in is quite normal.
count your blessings that's a good thing
hey there, I know exactly what you are going through. I to had Severe Hyperemesis. which is the fancy name for your problem. First thing find some iron free or ow iron vitamins. Your doctor may be able to help you with a prescription for that. If it is Iron free then you need to substitue with green foods or Fish. Fish is a great source of Iron especially Tuna. Instead of eating red meats eat stuff like pork, chicken and fish. Asian food is good also. If you can tollerate crackers, don't eat the saltines but the salt free ones or go out and get some wheat crackers they are filling and go down easy for Hyperemesis sufferers. Another thing to get is located in your local walmart or Kmart or target. They are Mother bars and drinks. they come in all sorts of flavors and they are super filling. I ate and drank alot of them, they helped plenty. I hope this helps!

I also included a website of what the bars and drinks are.
SOME PEOPLE COULD BE SICK THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE PREGNANCY
I was that way too, but the only way to make it better was, as soon as you wake up eat some crackers, even before you brush your teeth, try to eat small amounts and every 3 hours, after I was 30 weeks pregnant I wake up ever 3 hours to use the bathroom, so every time that I wake up I ate either crackers or cereal, just to keep me for being sick and it worked.Good luck
I was sick from 5weeks till giving birth to my daughter, everything I ate or drank, whatever the time it was horrendous. My dad was diagnosed with having a thyroid problem and I asked to be checked for the same thing. I was told my thyroid levels were high but this was due to being pregnant, all my symptoms were blamed on being pregnant. Since giving birth I have been diagnosed with having a Over active thyroid and my levels are now under control. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and I have been sick ONCE at 12 weeks and that's been it(touching wood). Some people do just have bad sickness but more and more people are discovering they have Thyroid problems.
Good Luckxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This is normal. i had sickness almost everyday until my baby was born!
Sorry to break it to you, but there are no hard and fast rule regarding morning sickness. They should really just call it pregnancy sickness. I was sick all day until about 5 months, for some people it carries on for the full 9 months!

Just try and eat as much as you can. Vitamins are a good idea if you're really struggling to keep food down. I also came to rely on chocolate milk and smoothies.

I hope it starts to die down soon, it's not very pleasant for you !

Good luck.
it does happen especially the goin off food (spesh healthy food) i went off everything i would normally eat and ended up just eating mcds most of the time, but hey at least its got salad in a big mac lol, my daughter was fine so dont worry bout it, if u still r talk 2 ur midwife good luck xxx
