A traditional party with jelly and ice cream, pass the parcel and other fun games.
teddy bears picnic where each kid brings their fave Teddy bear as thier guests
Growing up we had parties at the bowling alley, skating rink, zoo, home, and at mcdonalds. Those are some great ideas. Good luck. When my kids were 3 we had spiderman bd parties at the pool. But it is getting cold. Good luck and have fun. 11 3 year olds will drive you nuts. I would suggest having the parents stay or get a couple of parents to help out. Have fun!
If possible, hold it outside in a sunny location, even during fall/winter weather. You could rope off the area with streamers, tie helium balloons to trees and bushes. No matter what the birthday theme, kids will love having it outdoors. If you have cake crumbs, the birds will do the clean up. Be sure to have a friend or relative help you, otherwise you'll miss your child's joy, while being so busy with the party details. *enjoy*
Fancy dress is an idea kids love to dress up.
Decorations- balloons, streamers etc.
Food- Juice, cake, marshmallows, sausage rolls, crips, mini sandwiches.
Games- pass the parcel, musical statues, duck duck goose
cakes is a must..
candies and maybe you can organise some fun games for the kids...
sing together...
some kids might afraid of balloon, so no balloons..
mmm...that's all ithink..
say hello and wish happy birthday to her from me :)
Don't try and structure to many activities. Most 3 year olds will be happy with a few simple games like musical bumps etc but have lots of prizes they don't like loosing!
Don't go overboard - you'll have that to come when they start school and want to do things that everyone else is doing!
At home is best - plenty of games, food etc.
Suggest you get in some Brandy and Pain-killers for yourself.
check out brightideas.com there you will find some cute snack, games, invitations, and lots of other party ideas and stuff for kids.

I HAD MY 3 1/2 YR OLD DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THIS KIDS PIZZA PLACE CALLED CHUCK E CHEESE'S.
Depends on what the weather is like where u r. If its nice, a bouncy castle in the garden always goes down well. U can hire them very cheaply now. If its colder, there r many options depending on how much cash u wanna spend. Bowling and a burger. Swimming parties, but u will need 1 adult for 2 children. An activitities centre, most towns have one and they do special birthday parties, so the kids have 1 hr in the play areas, then into a special room for a tea, and usually a bear or whatever their mascot is comes in with the birthday cake. Or if u r having it at home, party games, fancy dress, a magician, just have fun stuff for them all. Whatever u decide i hope yr daughter has a great time, and remember mum lots of pics or dvd to look back over the years ahead.....i still laugh when i look back at my kids parties etc.
hi, my family and I live in new england so this time of year we all go to the pumpkin patch for pumpkins. if you live somewhere like this a hayride for the kids to the pumkin patch is a cool idea. they each get to pick their ow pumpkin from the field of pumkins and then pain them afterwards. also most pumpkin patches are on a farm so there are usually animals for the kids to look at. I have a baby due in a couple of weeks and I cant wait to throw her fall parties. but i dont know what the weather is like in other parts of the u.s.
My son is turning 3 next month. We're having his party at Build a Bear for him and 5-7 of his closest friends. I'm keeping it small & easy
For my daughters third birthday I had a Dora the explorer teddy bears picnic upstairs where all kids bring their sick teddies and have them fixed by various doctors, Then we had Dora party downstaris where the children had to follow the map to the game room where we met strawberry shortcake. Good luck. In home parties are so fun.
For my kids' 3 yr old party, they have a 'Noah's Ark' theme where we give out animal face masks (or they could make them) and all the food is animals (except the fairy bread which we call 'rainbow bread'). The cake is made with vanilla cake mix and 6 different colours layered to make a rainbow.
At 3, they don't need games, just a cake, some presents and 'party food'. We did play musical statues though (where everyone was a winner!) and had everyone doing different aninmal dances.
Have fun!
When our boys turned five and three we rented a bouncy house for them. They absolutely loved it. The kids all bounced around and had a great time. Then we busted a pinata and that was hilarious to watch the little ones who think they are so big trying to bust the pinata. I hope your party goes great and that your little one enjoys it. God Bless
You can make special pinatas they are always a hit! Having a party at home is a fab idea just keep it simple. Make sandwiches for the parents and mini sausage rolls and mini sausages for the kiddies along with their favourite things...SWEETS! Good luck and all the best sweetums!
It does not have to be a long drawn out party. You do need a ttheme. You do need a cake or cupcakes if you choose. Some kids like treat bags with a littlecandy anda prize. Pictures are the most important part of the party. 3 yr. olds need a lot of supervision. They like to playafter the cake and juice is over. You can also serve the kids some food at home. You can do Happy Meals from Mcdonalds. Some kids like Hot Dogs for their meal. I have thrown alot of parties for children ages 3-5. I teach preschool. Children of that age just like eating the cake and watching the other kid opening presents most of all.
Has your daughter got a favourite thing? Little Pony, Princess's? Why not use this, she will love it! Theme the table ware, the clothes, the food, ballons etc. Kids are easy pleased as it's a party and she has her pals there!
