Has anyone ever taken an abortion pill from the docs?

when can you use them till (weeks) do they hurt and what happens?where do you get them from?

Answers:
If you're pregnant, you already HAVE another baby, ready or not. At just three weeks after conception, your baby's heart is already beating.

Are you aware that at least 11 women have died from taking the abortion pill? (See "Abortion Deaths," below.) The abortion pill causes your placenta to break down, cutting off nourishment to your son or daughter who starves to death inside your womb. Another pill is then given to cause you to go into labor and push the dead baby out of your body. This takes an average of 9 days. It is very painful and bleeding is profuse. Please, get all the facts before you do something you regret:

its called the morning after pill. and no you dont need to go to the doctor you can get it from the chemist
They have to be taken up to 72 hrs after unprotected sex. They cause a bleed like a period but can be alot more painful with tummy cramps. These should only be used in emergency situations and not used in place of contraception.
I think you can only take it up to around 12 weeks. You need to go to hospital for it, and you will need to go back 2 days later to finish of the proceedure.

The pill that kills doesn't hurt, the pill that finishes the job makes you have contractions.

Go and see a doctor to discuss it.
You have to take it before 72 hours after you had sex.
It doesnt hurt its just like taking any other pill.
You can get from our health dept.
No I always thought prevention is better that cure!
My cousin took one of these. You are supposed to take them within 72 hours of possibility of getting pregnant. For my cousin it did not work, made her very sick, and she ended up having an abortion.
my wife used that befor and she had a hard time of worry and pain , pls. consult a doctor befor u do. and keep a friend close to u duing this proccess. a friend who can handle emergencies.
Hi i have never heard of an abortion pill before , I have heard of the morning after pill, which needs to be taken asap after having sex. Go to your doctors and they should explain every thing to you, If they do exist I think they would be against the law, if your 5 months pregnant and take a pill it could be disastrous, if you took it alone with no medical people around. The best thing is if you really are desperate is to arrange an appointment with your doctor , please don't mess about with silly pills , it could cost you your life . Take carex Lv Debbie J.x
u have to go see ur doctor to make sure u r 8 weeks pregnant or less. they will give u details on what to do next. go to this site:

I have never heard of the abortion pill before. But if you are scared that you might be pregnant, go see your doctor and get a blood test done. And if you are not, ask your doctor about sterilizing you. Just tell him or her that you have two kids and you do not want to have anymore and that you would like to have your tubes tied. They will do it for you. It will stop anymore pregnancies. And till the surgery is done, I would ask for birth control pills.
Not personally but I know firsthand of those who have. These pills are EVIL! You can use them up to 8 weeks. The first pills start to detach your baby from your uterus. The second one you take later and they poison the baby and start to make it dispell. They are popular in Europe and incredibly painful. You will bleed huge amounts, have a fever, back pain and may even see your unborn child discharged after 3 days of heavy bleeding. Please, don't do it! Your mind will never be the same again and neither will your body.
The abortion pill has been known to kill people taking it so I dont recommend it, not to mention why would you want to kill the baby growing inside of you? there are some people who would love to have a child but cant and someone who can and has been blessed with a pregnancy wants to kill the baby. If you had sex then you should be grown up enough to own up to your responsibilities.
It can usually be used until the 9th week, but it depends- some clinics do not dispense it after the 7th week, some do it until the 14th.
It is more expensive than vacuum termination ($50-100) more expensive- the total cost is about $300-500. You need to see a doctor twice- once you get the pill, you take one, then after 24-72 hours (depending on the type of pill) you either take the second pill orally or insert it vaginally. After that, you have a miscarriage. The side effects can be rather unpleasant-bad cramping, and heavy bleading. That is why it is much better to have it done very early in the pregnancy.
However, it is not supposed to be painful- if it hurts or you're passing out you need to see a doctor ASAP.
You need to get checked after the bleeding stops to make sure everything is expelled- if it's not then you will need a surgical procedure. The pros of this method is that there's no surgery, you do it in the privacy of your own home, and there is no risk of scarring whatsoever.
The cons are that there is a higher risk of infection that with surgical termination, it is slightly more expensive, requires 2 visits, and if it fails, you need a surgical termination anyway.
You get the pills from a family planning clinic or a women's health center. Visit www.plannedparenthood.com
They have much more information and a toll-free number that you can call to get more information & addresses of clinics in your area.
this is what happens

Hi,

Unfortunately the abortion pill cannot be prescribed by your doctor. Since it is technically still classed as an abortion, the usual guidelines have to be followed. Which in the UK means the signature of 2 doctors. Dont worry, this wil not be an issue.

You need to go and see your GP as soon as possible, he will then create a referral for you to the clinic nearest to you that deals with this procedure. You doctors referral will then form the first of the two signatures. At the clinic you will be seen by another doctor who will usually do a scan to determine how far into your pregnancy you are. To get the abortion pill, you have to be no more than 9 weeks into your pregnancy. This is administered over 2 visits. On the first visit you will be given the first dose which effectively 'kills' the foetus, sorry if that sounds a little blunt. 2 days later you will go back for a second dose which causes your body to pass the foetus. As a couple of others have mentioned, the first dose is painless, the second dose will create what seems like moderate to strong period pain style cramps. You will then go back to the clinic a couple of weeks later to check that the termination has been successful.

If you are more than 9 weeks pregnant you have 2 options. A surgical termination or a 'late' medical termination. I would definitely recommend the first option. The procedure would take place under generally anasthetic and the contects of your uterus would be removed. A late medical abortion uses the same drugs as the abortion pill, but given a more advanced stage of pregnancy, you would be required to stay in hospital after the second dose, and would effectively 'give birth' to the baby.

You won't know what options are available to you until you go and see your GP and have your stage of pregnancy confirmed. Although the benefits of NHS system mean that these procedure will be free, you may have to wait a couple of weeks for your procedure to go ahead. I have no idea what your financial situation is. If you can afford to go private then the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) and Marie Stopes offer these services and you would be seens and dealt with very quickly. I've included their website links below.
