Can a man carry a gene that can cause brain damage in an unborn foetus that will mean it can't live?
As usual i feel that the man i wanted to spend my life with claims he has this gene that doesnt affect him but he can't have children as the foetus would just die because of this gene. Is he talking rubbish to ditch me? I feel its a sick lie

This gene would have died out without ever propogating itself wouldn't it?
Ask him to go to a doctor with you and sit there while he explains it to someone he can't bullshit!
it does sound a bit odd. if it has not efected him how would he know about it if he is a carier it would need his partner to carry it anf risk one in 4 babys ?
although Y linked cromosome anomalies are possible, he cannot be a carrier and be male. else he would not exist.
