3 qestions short and sweet.who knows the answer, wanna give it a try?
FIRST QUESTION :is someone more likely to get pregnant closer to the period date.?
SECOND QUESTION : if i had sex closer to my period due date and i did get my periods in a couple of days is there a chance i still could be pregnant.
THIRD QUESTION : What stores can you get a morning after pills in the uk, how much is it & any side effects\///?
Answers:
1- It's always possible to get pregnant any time in your cycle, it's very unlikely that you would be. The window for pregnancy is very short- usually about 24 hrs, so unless you had sex in the window, you should be fine. Also, the egg has to still be viable, even though you ovulate doesn't nessecarily mean that they egg is viable (alive). The egg has to be fertilized in the filopean tube and then travel to your uterus, so if the egg was already in the uterus, then the chances are very slim that the egg would implant.
2- The chances of you being pregnant and still getting your period are very, very, very low. If you get your period, it's safe to say that you aren't pregnant.
3- Not sure on where to get one in the UK, but you can always call an OB/Gyn office and ask them. You don't have to be a patient to find that out. Either that, or call different pharmacies in your area. There are side effects that can be very uncomfortable. It can make you very nuaseus, maybe even make you throw up. It can make you have horrible cramps and very heavy bleeding. I would be very careful with it and would suggest only taking it under the care of a physician.
1. NO
2. NO
3. This I have no idea about. You may need a prescription to get it.
1st- you can get pregnant at anytime during your cycle but less likely that close BUT possible
2nd- yes you could be pregnant
3rd- you can get the morning after pill from your doctor but you can't wait that long
Other suggestions. If you don't want babies yet, either don't have sex or use protection I'm sure you know that but it sounds like you are not following proper measures to protect yourself
The most likely time you can get pregnant is abou the middle between periods.
If you have a period 99.999% you're not in the pudding clb.
Probably your local pharmacy. I wouldn't know I don't live in UK
1. yes. because of ovalation.
2. yes. you can have your period at first. take a pregnancy test. or go to your doctor.
3. idk. not in the uk.
1 and 2 yes, 2 my cuzn had hers twice but it was irregular. 3 i have no clue i don't like in the UK sorry but if u are pregnant an after-morning pill might afect the fetus. You should have used protection.
Most women are most fertile in the middle of their cycle - that is two weeks after your last period. In the days running up to your period you are less likely to become pregnant because your body is preparing to rject the released egg but IT IS STILL POSSIBLE.
You can get the morning after pill from pharmacies, from your GP or from a hospital casualty department (but be prepared for a very long wait if you go there). They will make you feel very sick. But that is the worst side-effect.
If you are preganant then the morning after won't help - it need to be taken within 42 hours of unprotected sex and its efficacy lessens the longer your leave it.
First - You are most likely to get pregnant by having sex approx. 14 days before your period is due (assuming you have a regular 28 day cycle) since this is when most women ovulate. The egg only lives for a few hours, but sperm lives for several days, so you are more likely to get pregnant by having sex before you ovulate, than after. So no. you're more likely to get pregnant quite close after the end of your period than close to when your next period is due.
Second - if you didn't get your period within a few days of when you were due, there is a possibility that you are pregnant (regardless of when you had sex). Unless you were charting your cycles or using an ovulation prediction kit to know exactly when you ovulated, you can never really be 100% sure. Most likely though, if you have a regular cycle, and you had sex close to the day you were due to start your period (like a day or two before) you're probably not pregnant. Just take a pregnancy test though. They're not very expensive and easy to use.
Third - You can't buy a morning after pill over the counter in the UK. You have to go to a doctor for it. And you have to go within 48 hours of having intercourse. You can't wait until you miss a period and then go.
i think i am right in saying that mst women are most fertile around their mid cycle.
alot of women will still bleed throughout their whole pregnancy. early bleeding is quite common.
morning after pills are available from most chemists and i think they are about £20.00 or under.
hope this helps.
Question1: No you are more likely to get pregnant right in between the two your last and your "missed"
Question 2: If you did get your period and you had sex agian after that you will need to be worried about the next period not the one that passed.
Question 3: I have no idea I'm sorry :( I am not in the UK and do not even know where to begin. I do know that after 72 hours that pill is less likely to work and some women get very sick with that pill.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
you are more liekly to get pregnant if you have sex AFTER ur period when you ovulate you usually ovulate 14 days from the first day of ur last period, and you would be able to get the morning after pill from a chemist or a planned paret hood place or you need to see your doctor and make sure you tell the recpionist that you need to make an urgent appoitment regarding taking a morning after pill and the side effects are headache, nausea, painful breasts and irregular vaginal bleeding
First q: you can get pregnant while you're on your period. So i would say yes.
Second Q:Yes you can have a period and be pregnant. i had one period while I was pregnant.
Third Q: i don't know about the UK ,but if you don't want a baby then don't have sex or get on birth control(condoms, the pill, shot, mirena,patch...)
1. A female can really get pregnant at any time.. close to their period, during their period, right after, etc. You can get pregnant anytime you have sex. (The only protection that is 100% is no sex aka abstinence)
2. You could still be pregnant but the only confirmation would be a pregnancy test. The ones you buy at the drugstore or whatnot are only accurate to detect pregnancy around 14 days after your missed period. Your doctor office can do a blood test to detect the pregnancy hormone in your blood way before the OTC test will show pregnancy. You CAN have your period and still be pregnant (Some women have their period all throughout their pregnancy.. some don't even know of the pregnancy because of their periods)
3. I am not sure the morning after pills are OTC and I believe you must go to the doc for them. Everyone is right though that they are only effective for so long following the unprotected sex and then you are just wasting your time because they wont do anything. You can check your telephone directory to find something along the lines of planned parenthood or even call your local hospital labor and delivery part to ask them where you can go for blood pregnancy tests, the morning after pills and effectiveness, etc. ( I am not exactly sure as I am not in the UK. I am in USA)
Hope this helps!
1. You are more fertile near your period.
2. No if you had a period, you are not pregnant.
3. The morning after pill has side effects that are like having the flu. Because it is a poison. Just get birth control instead. It is cheaper and safer.

this is a cut and paste but read it ok and have a word at a family planning clic its where i got this from and dont ask friends ask experts
Right assuming you two are of similar age. how old is he if not.
Biologically most start to get sexual between 16 and 18 if thats what you are getting at. Howeever if in the US this may be a problem dur to silly laws that ignore human nature. Most successful countries have ages of concent around 16 and some have staggered systems (ie maximum age for the older one).
If you want to go further sexually sex ed 101.
Ie first time, pre first period you may be on it, standing up and all crap like that
ANY way a single cell and there are millions in a drop gets in or near your fanny can get you pregnant.
This means it swims so a drop on the outside nearby when the area is wet could swim, certainly if on the outside (or say squrted on butt and drippled down, in your underwear or like in porn movies shot over the outside CAN get uyou pregnant.
Likewise anything on fingers say he rubs his willy or you do then rub or finger inside your bits, or when taking off the condom it gets on you fingers. then in or on you.
ALSO can get you pregnant. Likewise STDs
Whilst you cannot get pregnant via kissing or blow jobs you can get STDs from blow jobs. Sexually Transmitted Deseases.
Also anything oil based ie chocoalte or vasaline or icecream getting on condom rubber acts like acid making tiny holes. 30 secs for virus, 60 anything else you cant see. Polyurathne one sie Durex Avanti condoms are immune to this as not rubber and also suitable for those allergic to latex.
This means no going further unless you are on the pill. Better still on a patch or injection or something you can't forget or take late say if you selpt in or it does not work.
Likewise some medicines or drugs may stop it working.
So pill for you AND condoms AND practice with them as not so easy.(can can be torn if you leave air in the teet or sharp rings etc and if he flops a little can come off occasionally,.
So two forms of contraception at least.
Also do a practice dry run on getting morning after pills if anything goes wrong so you know where to get them and how in several places including ones that don't tell parents.
Then practice with the condoms. this means in the dark, get them out of pockets from clothes thrown on the floor, out of the packet and only (in your case fake willy from adult joke shop or suitable vegetable.very quickly. Take to long he will flop.
Plus he should be practicing by tossing off with them (thinking of you hopefully as opposed to porn stars. if you aint comfortable with that idea you are not ready to do it.), then comming. Then practicing getting it off with the deposit inside with no splashes, trying it up and safe remember in the dark? out of the wallet etc.
Maybe this is something you could do together when you are on the pill. And he wash in the shower. you could peek.
Then and only then should you start to go further plus getting STD tests and even if you are virgins this is valid. As you can catch AiDS from doing 1st AID on someone.
Then you may be readdy.
Sound like lots of work? well thats what being grown up enough to do it means.
You ignore any suggestions on birth control form the church as they are all liers.go to family planning clinics that aint church based.

OK that done. Should shouldn't have sex just like a totally preplanned thing. you should be used to first, second, third base with lots of feeling, kissing, stroking, kissing bits and licking them etc before you go all the way and having seen each other naked before.
That way you wont be all stressed and tense and pressured as will be having fun only this time taking it further.
In the UK the age on consent is 16 and if you were used to stuff like that.
Also you dont have to go all the way. there are always blowjobs that guys love especailly when done right, hand jobs on each other, boob jobs with him between your boobs. etc
All a lot safer and lots of fun for couples too. The boob job thing is the safest. And if all that is stuff you both like then sex should be ok.
But think through it carefully.
Can't see him dumping you especailly if you have been going together for 9 months.
But do it for the right reasons. Forget marriage and the divorce rate.
Whats more important is all the safety stuff and if you are readdy and the prep stuff.
When its right for you it should be great and affectionate and fun. Do note its unlikly that he will last long you you will probably have to finger yourself (or get him to do it and play teacher and student) or him lick you out till you *** too.
And if you got grossed out by that stuff I mentioned you are too young and not ready
Hope that helps.
Then ok if you want to go further and have got and following all the above stuff.
YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE SEX, most folk between 16 and 18. MAKe sure its a great first time.
1) the best time to get pregnant is 2 wks after your period.
2) i think you could be but you would have 2 wait for the nxt mth 2 find out not 100% on that 1 sorry.
3) any chemist will sell a morning after pill i think it is about £20 odd the last i heard it was roughly about that.
hope at least 1 of my answers was any good 2 you x
You can only get pregnant when you are fertile - women are only fertile for around 30% of their cycle; ovulation and days prior to ovulation when cervical mucus is present.
Fertile days are normally within the second week of your cycle - your first day of true bleeding on your period being day 1 of your cycle. However, everyone's cycles are different there is no way of knowing if you are fertile or not unless you use methods like Fertility Awareness Method, Natural Family Planning or other methods such as CycleBeads, Persona or Ladycomp.
It is biologically impossible to menstruate when you are pregnant, there can however be implantation bleeding and bleeding due to other things than menstruation, but that could be mistaken for menstruation. Unless you used birth control of some sort there is a chance of pregnancy [FYI, above methods on tracking fertility are reliable birth control options - but I am thinking in terms of condoms in your case as you obviously don't use these methods].
I am not totally up to date on the laws regarding this, but I do believe the morning after pill, if you choose this as your form of emergency birth control over other options, can be obtained from most chemists. Cost I would imagine would be around the cost of a normal prescription. Side effects are many given their effect on your menstrual cycle and your menstrual cycles effect on the rest of your body, the main side effects you would be looking at would be abnormal cycles for a few months (assuming your cycle length is monthly) and possible nausea.
1. The optimum time for getting pregnant is the 14th day before your next period as this is when you will ovulate, this is not always the middle of your cycle as not everyones cycle is 28days long, there is a four day window for most women.
Folk law says if you want a boy do it as close as you can to ovulation as male sperm swim faster but die quicker.
2 There is a slim chance that you could be in the very early stages but very slim. unless you have missed the next period i'd say your not pregnant.
3 The morning after pill is avaliable in some pharmasists, if it isn;t avaliable in the one you go into then they will tell you where to go, it can cost £60-£80 but if you find out where your nearest Brook Advisory Clinic is then it is anonomous and free, however you need to get there quick, the highest chance of it working is within 24 hrs and then it decreases rapidly untill 72 hours, after that it is ineffective.
If you have used it before it has a good chance of not working at all.
Hope this helps!
First...after your periods I would think a fresh egg would produce a healthier baby
Second..I think not
Third..Any pills are bad news.read the details
1. Time you are most likely to get pregnant is 14 days after the first day of your last period. E.g. If you came on your period on the 1st July, you are most fertile on the 14th July and around that date.
2. If you have sex quite close to the day you are due to have your period and you did get your period a few days later then I would say it is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant.
3. I don't know where you live, but here in England, you have to have the morning after pill prescribed by a Doctor. You cannot go out and purchase it in a store or even in a pharmacy.
Hope I have helped you.
