On average how much does it cost to bring up a child until they reach adulthood, ie 18 years of age?
Answers:
The answer to the question is simply another question..How much do you have? That is basically the answer...you will find that you will be broke until the day the children leave home. Unless, of course, you are rich or have a LOT of money..
Child Care and Education $63,209
Housing $109,050
Clothing $17,216
Food $46,992
Health Care $22,307
Miscellaneous $32,016
Transportation $35,204
Grand Total: $350,417
in this day and age a whole lot
too much lol
sorry, i don't know the real answer, but it is ALOT!
Depends if you are going to take really good care or keep them in a closet.
I can't remember exactly, but I think it's around £200,000
about £35.000, but worth it
Do you really want to know? Expensive!
if everybody were to add it all up then nobody would have any kids
I heard this on the radio this morning
the answer is 120,000 pounds
A lot of money for 5 minutes of fun. LOL
Well my kid is currently near 2 years old and in that near 2 years we have probably spent about 30,000.
So in my kids case probably about 500,000.
We are saving to buy him a house when he is older, a small one though, why struggle if they dont have to.
More than you will ever be able to save for..and it cost far more than just money..

Grand Total: $177,700.00 THAT'S A LOT OF $$$$$$
oh man.ALOT! depends on how you spend your money tho :) and how many kids you have.
oh my god, i don't even want to think about it,
put another way, had i not done it three times i would definately be rich now.
our government, here in Canada estimated it to about $161000 (not including post-secondary education). I got this really cute e-mail from a friend of mine and I think it broke it down to $1 an hour. Not much to pay for something that brings you so much joy.
And remember there's always things you can do to cut costs. You don't have to buy everything new. Young kids really don't know the difference between a toy you bought for $50, and a toy you got at a garage sale for $1. Kids go through clothes just as quick whether you buy them at some designer store or at Wal-Mart.
Personally, I have 5 year old twins and in terms of expences at their age: I'd say I spend a few hundred a year on clothes, a few hundred on sports fees, very little on toys because their grandparents buy them so much already. To feed them, I'd say maybe $100/month each or less
I read somewhere, (I think it was online or something) that the average cost to raise a child to 18 is around $250,000---this is a lot of money, especially these days when it takes 2 incomes, usually full time to get by in America---unless 1 of the people has an awesome job and the other one can afford to work part-time or even not work at all----children can cause burdens financially, so just make sure it is what you want and what you can afford---in this day and age, most people can only afford 1 or 2--I am 1 of 8 and we were poor as dirt----my mother did not work and my dad hardly ever went to work, so having that many kids is not economical or practical---anyway, just some thoughts!
The Telegraph did this a while ago, I think they said £150,000. That is without going over the top on luxuries. But I guess it would depend on everything, whether you use day care, whether you will need a new car for the kiddie, the products you'll use. It's always going to be different.
it cost 12000 pound and if you have a girl you have to pay for wedding 24.000
