I want to take my new born swimming when is the best age to start.?
Answers:
As soon as your baby has had their first set of immunisations.
I started both mine at six weeks and they swim like fish now!
i sqy about 3 months as soon as they have had there first lot of injections.
Newborns can automatically swim, as long as you are careful there is no age limit.
I Have Heard of three month old babies being able to swim.
I heard that babys can swin by instinct. As they grow older they develop a fear of water and lose the instinct to swim. Based on that I would say to start as early as possible.
Swimming could save their life some day!
Not until they have had all 3 sets of baby jags. Always ask you Health Visitor as research changes and she will have the most up-to-date info
4 months i think. i tool mine at 5 months. check out babycenter.com, its a fantastic resource for all things baby.
The quicker you take them the better, make it fun for them and you will have fun watchingthem enjoy the water.
you can take them now.The earlier you take them the better. My daughter could swim by the time she was 8months old.most swimming baths do clubs for early little swimmers
You should wait until they've had their inoculations, (about 3 months).
As soon as you possible can but dont make it an obsession their is plenty of time.
I waited till my son was 6 months old because of all the chlorine they put in swimming pools but I guess once the baby has been immunised it should be ok altho young babies have very sensitive skin and is chlorine something you want on your babies skin? It can't be a good idea or everyone wouldn't say to wash babies clothes in non biological washing powder because of the chemicals.
any age the earlier the better
anytime baby have live in water for 9 month
6 or 7
Babies have a strong connection with water since the're born and you could actually take her since day one. But the thing one is concerned about obviously is catching infections, specially ear infections so i would suggest you avoid going to public summing pools until she is about 4 but you can always have a lot of fun time in your Bath, she will absolutely enjoy it.
My son loved it and when we went to a public swimming pool he took to water like a fish to the sea!!
both my children started going swimming at 3 months old and both are very good swimmers now. Only take the baby in the pool for about 10mins each time for the fist few weeks and then gradually increase the length of time. this is because, with the baby being small their body temp goes down. make sure you have a towel at the side of the pool to wrap the baby in once you get out of the pool as they need to be warmed up again quickly.
Good Luck !
As soon as the baby learns to move on paces atleast the baby can control its feet and arms
when they have had their first injections, its safer for infections
ASAP
anytime as long as you slather sunscreen and put a sun hat on their head.
babies are born knowing how to swim. they lived in water for 9 months. the longer you wait the harder it will be to teach him/her. i've seen women with there babies as young as 1 month old, of course these are the lucky women who don't get more than 3 - 4 weeks of post partom bleeding. you might feel more comfortable waiting until you baby has more head control.
As soon as possible.
There are many classes run for parents of newborns and swimming. Look at your local gyms/swimming pools
i was told by my health vistitor that the baby needs to have there jabs first. the last of the jabs is at 4 months.
i took my 2 after their first injection, which is at 6 weeks, unless they suffer from asthma. Most pools do fab mother and baby classes to introduce them to water, great for getting to know other mums too!
you can take your baby swimming anytime from birth. you have to be careful of the sunlight though. babies burn really easily and there aren't many sunblocks designed specifically for babies use.
You are not supposed to go swimming with your baby until the baby is atleast 6 months. The cold can put them into shock.
I would say once they start enjoying their bath
The sooner the better really because all babies are born with the ability to swim. It is only after that they forget how.
3 months just playing in the water
6 months in classes (try the YMCA)
Make sure you use baby sunblock that is water proof and do NOT let the baby swallow the water, the chlorine is not good for them to swallow. Also make sure to give a bath after you get out of the water too, also because the chlorine is not good for their skin.
I took my newborn at three weeks, shes 27 now swims like a fish and takes her youngster swimming age 2 and 4
