My15 month old baby has constipation, how can i stop this?

Answers:
fresh orange juice that should help
lots of wetabix.
It's already stopped. You need to start it. Give him some Ex-Lax.
You need to give the baby more liquids. If the baby is on formula, the formula may be to thick. I would give the baby a bottle and then a little later, give some water.
give it to michael jackson to clean out the thing's anus with his penis.
Hi Kim. try a little fresh orange juice in the babies bottle(about 20ml) this worked a treat for my boys
you can use FRESH ORANGE JUICE, PINEAPPLE JUICE OR PRUNE JUICE
set him/he in the tub with warm water for ay least 15minutes then yuor baby should be fine.
my son had the same problem. there are 2 things you can do.
1.get one of those baby sized cranberry juices(they are like 75 cents each)and let him drink it if it dont work you can
2. get a glass of water and put in 1 teaspoon of karo white syrup(it is actuially clear) but ONL:Y 1 teaspoon cause it works
Hey Kim! If your baby is on formula, try putting white Caro syrup in it. Works every time.
See a doctor. Get the right treatment for your baby!
Sounds like a change in milk or iron filled vitamins would help. Some children are naturally like that. I could always tell which one of my babies pooped because they were all different. Ones was always mushy, another in little stuck together rocks and another, basically perfect. A shange in diet. Could your child be holding back his poop when he has to go? Give him pedialyte and make sure he is getting enough good old water everyday. Never give a baby ex lax. That is ridiculous. Don't listen to that person. Give baby lots of water. Then get him to the pediatrician and cut out any iron supplemented anything. Good luck.
It is best to ask a pharmacist. They will probably suggest fig syrup. It is a good natural laxative
Give him/her 5-7 ounces of cooled, boiled water between feeds.
My daughter got constipated alot at this age because she was eating loads of new things.
If the boiled water doesn't work then go to the Doctors and they will give u a light Laxative, but the water should clear the problem and flush his/her bowel out.
Good Luck! xxx
Feed him/her some prunes every so often and watch how much cheese, bread, and bananas he/she eats because that causes constipation.
You can try LittleTummys Laxative Drops it tastes like chocolate. I would call the pharmacy or your on call doctor and see what is the right dose for your child. The stuff does not cost a lot I think $5 or less.Or you can try pear juice , Gerber makes a good pear juice that helps (only an ounce or 2 is needed).
Try taking his temperature (in the butt). For whatever reason, this really works as well. I hope your little tyke gets better! TK
I really do'nt know ! it's so hard :-(
It's not to early to be feeding your baby lots of natural fibre. Any cereal that claims it is high in fibre is good. As are fresh vegetables like celery and broccoli and carrots. And fruits like bananas and apples.

And don't forget the water. Every human being (including babies) needs a proper intake of water daily, IN ADDITION TO any other sources of moisture, such as milk and fruit juices.

Below is the Wikipedia link on dietary fibre.

Warm water works! Give them some in a bottle, also put them in a bath with warm water in.
I suggest watered down prune juice--but not a lot--2 oz prune juice to 2 or 3 oz water.
drinking 8 oz of applejuice a day (diluted half juice/half water) has kept my baby from being constipated since 12 months.
buy some karo syrup, and put a drop in her cup or bottle ,these drops will be thick, put it in her juice. it helps alot.
I know that lack of fiber causes constipation. Try feeding him more green leafy veggies or whole grains. But with my sons a little bit of apple juice always did the trick. I wouldn't recommend prunes or syrup. What if it made him have the runs? Then you would have to visist a doctor or worse. Just discuss this problem when you have your next check-up with his pediatrician. Hope this helps.
You can give cooled boiled water with a little sugar in it, or orange juice, prune juice or you can get something nutural from the chemist. Once this is fixed, make sure she has lots of fluids and fibre.
give her plenty of fluids, and foods that are high in fibre, plenty of fruit and veg here are some ideas:- wholemeal bread or chapattis, wholegrain breakfast cereals, baked beans, frozen peas and sweetcorn are good sources of fibre. give lots of clear drinks rather than milk. all of the above will help prevent constipation. hope this helps
