How old should a little girl be before she has her ears pierced?

Answers:
well i dont know how getting your ears pierced and having sex have anything to do with each other. but anyways, i got my daughters ears pierced when she was 7 months old, she cried a little and then she was fine. she looks adorable in them and nobody confuses her for a boy. if you wait until they are older i would wait until they ask to get them pierced rather than to force a 3 year old to do it. they will fight it more.
legally? 16

if you are a bad mother..as soon as she has had sex, so about 9 in most cases!
i don't think there's a specific age..i know some that had their ears pierced before they were 1...of course, they screamed and shouted when they did it...i would say the best age to pierce their ears is when they're a little older, and they can tell you if they want their ears pierced or not...
They say it's easier when they are infants. that it heals faster. But I let my daughter wait until she was ready to decide for herself (which turned out to be 14)
babies are soooooo cute with pierced ears, I think honestly it's up to the parent and how they feel THEY can care for the piercings while they heal.
I HAD MINE AT 6 WEEKS.I THINK IT IS SUPOSSED TO BE 6 MONTHS NOW~
My daughter was only 6 months old. She didn't cry at all, and she's now 24 and still has her pierced ears.
alot of babies get them peirced at one, and have no problems, me personally , im afriad of needles so i have no piercings
I got it done when I was about twelve, but I wish my parents had done it when I was really young, so that I wouldn't remember the pain! Also, if it's done during the really early years, parents will accept responsbility for cleaning and disinfecting the hole. If it's done at a slightly older age, the parents might THINK the child is ready for the responsibility of cleaning and disinfecting, but really that child isn't intellectually capable of making that kind of committment yet.
My little girl is 5 months and i'm getting hers done. I say the younger the better. But she has to be 3 months and have her shots.
Old enough to want it enough to take the ouch bit, with a reason to get it done. ie look cool and get boys attention and rebel.

ie teenagers
Let her grow up and choose for herself. My mother did that and my little sister chose not to get them pierced at all.
you can pierces esrs as old as 6 months
at least 13 /14
16 years minimum
My oldest daughter had hers done when she was about 6 or 7 months old. I took her to get them done because I heard it was best to get them done while they're babies. She didn't even cry when they were pierced. It was easier for me to get her ears done then because she didn't mess with them, it was easier to take care of them because I did it. They have the safety backs now that are great with piercing infants ears. The backs lock into place so the little girl can't pull it out and so it wont fall out in her sleep. Is she decides she doesn't want them anymore once she gets older, all she has to do is take them out. The holes will grow closed. I had mine done when I was 1, that was nearly 20 years ago and I still wear earings.
i got my ears pieced when i wuz 10 but never get them pierced at claire's. i think 9 or 10 is a good age
In Eastern Europe it is the custom to pierce the ear and fit a gold stud at the christening, (or for the christening) ie a few weeks old..
16 so she can decide for herself if she wants it done
As soon as her best friend tries it with that bent old dressing pin your husband uses to pick his teeth with after every sunday, christmas and easter lunch.
Cos thats just not right.
muslims girls have their ears pierced as soon as they are born
ie 1-2 weeks old
one, i think...
i think the youngest a little girl should have there ears pierced is 9 years old
I was four when i got mine and i got mine double pierced at age 11. And my cartilage at age 12.
i would say 6 month ohh did you know that the doctor usually pierce babies ear as well. so the next time you go in for a physicial please ask a docotr to pierce your child ear to be on the safe side.
That all depends if her parent(s) take her, she can be as young as six months. But to get them done on her own she has to be eighteen but it may vary from state to state.
I think personally you should wait until the child can decide for herself. After all they are her ears. If she has decided the I think it is up to you to determine wether she can be responsible enough to care care of her ears like she is supposed to.
Back in my country where my parents are from, they pierce children's ear when they turn 1 (one) and up, not before that!
I got mine pierced when I was 5 or 6. I don't remember it. Which turned out pretty well because my mom took care of my ears so they didn't get infected and I don't remember any pain. I have these piercings today. I then tried piercing my ears for a second time when I was 12. My ears are sensitive and easily got infected and sealed especially because they were still infected when basketball started and I had to take them out. Then I got them repierced when I was 13. I quit basketball so that wasn't a big deal and they stayed fine and I still have them pierced today. Then I tried to pierce them for a third time while I was still 13 and that got infected and sealed too. I am fifteen now and I suggest you do it while your kids are younger and not involved in sports.
It doesn't matter an age. My mom was going to get mine done at 6 weeks old, but waited until 6 months old. The younger you do it the less pain. You can take care of them easier too. There is no age. If they are small they will do both ears at once, or you could ask them to do both ears at once. They will have no problem.
My husband forbade me to have our daughter's ears pierced when she was a baby. He thinks it looks very unclassy. My sister, however, had her daughters' ears pierced as infants because she felt it would be less painful for them. I personally did not have my ears pierced until 16 because I was afraid. My sister had a neighbor pierce hers using a needle and a potato when she was 11. So, I've heard of all different ages for ear piercing.
