Answers:
the baby will rest and grow so don't worry to much if movements aren't felt every day while pregnant with my daughter i didn't feel her move until my 8th month but your scans etc will assure you baby is developing fine. if for any reason you are extremely worried then contact your appointed midwife she will advise you best and assure your by putting your mind at rest its not uncommon for a first time mum to be to be a bit over anxious
it is fine this is a rest day but also baby will changehis pattern of movements alot over the last few months alot
don't worry but if you continue to, get your midwife to check the heartbeat
Hi
Nope, I very much doubt it. Babies are just like us and sometimes have lazy days. At your stage so long as you're feeling a few movements a day your baby is okay.
I always hated it first thing in the morning, desperately waiting for that first kick!
If you go almost all day feeling absolutely nothing then contact your midwife.
Congrats too by the way! I have a 9 week old girl, enjoy any peace and quiet you can get lol
Don't worry about this. Baby probably is moving but maybe just not to where you can feel it.it will get stronger. But, if you're really worried, it's probably best to get in touch with your doctor/midwife to ease your mind.
I have a 5 month old and when I was pregnant I didn't feel my baby move for the longest time, I think I was 6 months. Then 2 week before I had him he didn't move, it was like he needed to save his energy to come out. All pregnancies are different though, but I would talk to my doctor if I were you, just in case. And Congrats on your baby!
Babies have a rest, aren't you due a scan about now, maybe see if you can relax until then
You alone will know deep down if something is wrong.. If you are worried then put your mind at ease and go and see a midwife that is after all what they are there for.
iv just had my baby and i had the same problem, i phoned my midwife and she was more than happy to get me in to the clinic and check his heart beat (it put my mind at rest). this was my third baby but you just can't help being paranoid.
a general guideline is 8 times a day. some babies move more than others, some have more quiet days than others. don't panic!!
try laying down flat and talking to baby, or singing.. found this made mine move on request!
i wouldnt worry about it babies have active days and lazy days if this is really concerning you though i would get some paper and every time you feel the baby move write the time down.but if you are very concered contact your midwife or go to the hospitial and they will put you on a monitor. try not to worry
When i was pregnant with my daughter who is now 10 months old She was like that also. Except even before she was born I knew she was gonna be a dady's girl cause she would only move when her daddy was home from work and when he was around me. If he would put his hand on my stoumach she would move to his hand.At night I would sleep with my stomach against his back and every night she would kick his back and every morning she would kick his back. And now I am 22 weeks pregnant and a couple months ago I could feel the baby move and felt it move all the time but now within the last month in a half I don't feel it move very much at all.
It's probably OK. As long as you are still feeling something occasionally you can be assured that the baby is still alive. There is so much room in there right now that they can be doing somersaults and you not know about it. When I got my ultrasound with my first baby (about 23-25 weeks) I thought the baby must have been asleep because I couldn't feel anything, but when he did the ultrasound the baby was moving like crazy.I just couldn't feel it.
this is normal as long as you feel the baby you are ok. after 28 weeks if your baby hasn't more than 10 times before 9pm contact your hospital straight away.
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby.
Babies in utero sleep and wake just as they do when they're "out in the big wide world"! They have quiet times, and busy times. Plus at 21 weeks your baby is still quite small so you won't feel every movement he makes.
I started feeling my baby move at 16 weeks (unusual for a first timer!), and I used to get so scared because I'd feel him move loads for a day or so and then nothing for a few days! I was constantly calling my midwife and asking her to check his heart beat to see if he was ok! In the end the midwife told me that many mums don't even feel daily movements until 24 weeks+ and they don't ask you to track your baby's movements until you are about 26 weeks pregnant. Before that they don't really expect you to be able to feel the baby move every day as the baby is still very small and you won't feel ALL the movements. Some can be very slight and subtle.
When you start tracking at 26 weeks they ask you to try and be aware of 10 movements per day. Any less and you need to contact your midwife or hospital
(I actually went to see the midwife today as I was panicking because baby had been quiert all miorning. As soon as the midwife put the sonicaid on my tummy he woke up and kicked it away! Heheheh!)
I wouldn't worry too much as I've said, although just to put your mind at rest you contact your midwife (or Dr if you don't have a midwife) and ask them to check the baby's heartbeat. They'll probably tell you the same as mine told me - that at 21 weeks they're not even expecting daily movements yet.
Don't worry, this is fine. At this point the baby has so much room to move that you don't always feel it. It also changes position so often which affects when you feel it too.
As long as you've felt it move a few times today then there's really nothing to worry about.
Wait until you get to my stage (38 weeks), you'll look back fondly on the quiet movement days as you lie on the sofa feeling what seems like the worlds biggest baby apparently moving in about 6 different places at once and trying to decide whether he'll manage to punch through your bladder with his fist before or after he kicks through your stomach with his foot...
21 weeks is still early days- you will miss a lot of movement because the baby is still only small as long as you have a reasonable amount of "movements" in one day don't worry
If you are busy you tend not to notice them as much! also babies do have quiet times!
good luck!
thats fine some days there active and some days there not
