I did and loved every minute!
(I'm 22 now BTW), I joined Beavers then Cubs & then Explorers. - I would recomend it to anyone, some of the skills I learnt at scouts I still use now + it is a good thing to have on your CV.
When my little boy is old enough (quite a few years yet!) I'm sure he will enjoy beavers as much as I did.
yes you are right the numbers are down. i used to be a beaver leader but then had a full time job and my own kids. i still support them when they have their summer fairs etc.
this is a good question and i really hope u get a good response.
strange though how the numbers have gone down over the years.
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

no
Nope
I did join. I only had three friends in a troop of 60 boys. Then one moved away, and the others stopped going.

I hated scouts, im only staying in it because it will look good on my college application.

At a leadership training thing, EVERYONE there, the scouts, the counselors, EVERYONE hated me. I didnt have a single friend the whole week, noone else from my troop went. I almost killed myself and the counselors didnt even care.
good place for an advert!
i am 18 so i dont know if i can join, even if i could i dont think i would lol i have been to rainbows brownies " mum was the leader" and guides for about 6 months then left, besides the uniform aint that flattering is it.
As a Girl Scout leader in the United States, I am puzzled daily why more girls aren't in Girl Scouting. Every year we try to recruit adults to be leaders and they are always "too busy". It just breaks my heart the girls that are turned away because no adult is willing to give a little of their time.
I used to be a boy scout.
Great times.
re. the website - thanks for the nostalgia!
I was gonna do it but the uniform eugh
But my main concern was having to swear allegiance to the queen and country. I'm Irish and proud and I don't see why i should be forced to swear allegiance to the queen to learn how to tie knots!
