Little Boy - How should he Pee?
Serious question!
When walking my son home from nursery the other week he needed a wee, he did this by standing by a tree, his pants (& boxers) down + went.
My friend said that this is wrong & he will get laughed at at school if he uses the urinal like this?
What should I teach him (how should he go outside & in school?)
Please help us!
Thanks Lol xxx.

Oh poor little lad!
At this age its more important he gets everything off and doesn't pee himself than how he does it!
Tell your friend if he's still doing it when he's 18 you'll worry but for now let the poor little 'un relieve himself any way he sees fit!
If the father is present and active in his life, let him show his son how he does it. My son was taught mainly by me, and he did the same thing, with his pants and boxers down around his ankles. I taught him this because I didn't want him to pee on his clothes. You can tell him not to show his "hiney" to everyone while he's peeing, just pull the front of his pants and boxers down enough to let his "winkie" do it's job. My husband showed our son once and he's done it the "right" (if there is a such way) way ever since.
Eventually, he'll have to learn to whip it out. He will need a fly in his trousers (sorry pants) of course.
I always have to read those twice. Why is he wearing pants AND boxers? Oh yes, American.
sounds go for this age. my son is three and cant go standing yet so yours is ahead of mine. . he will learn on his own or from daddy how to do it better ignore the other people
that is not a bad thing i am 10.
no he will not get laughed at because he will be in a stall and there are a lot of little boys that go to the bathroom sitting down until t here lol aim gets better and if he is pulling is pants all the way down then so will most of the other little boys his age because they are the same age so i woulndn't think too much about that if i was you
Nothing wrong with what he's doing, tell your friend to p off, he'll find his own way when he's ready.
Oh no poor little fellow, take no notice of you friend your son will learn how it's done when he is ready
They all have to start somewhere.
If by "wrong" your friend means he should be weeing through the gap in his boxers, I can only imagine that she doesn't have a son (or not one that is out of nappies/diapers yet) or that her son is somewhat well endowed!
Just picture a little lad with his penis poking out through that little gap - there's a jolly good chance that plenty of the urine will end up on his underpants due to the close proximity of said penis to said underpants.
Far better that he de-robes than ends up with urine all over himself.
My son is 7 years and still pulls his trousers and underpants down to wee as do all other little friends that he knows (not that I've been spying, I just asked him!)
I'm sure it's entirely normal - please don't upset yourself or your little boy whilst his at such an influencial ages. Just let him wee!
Best wishes
ah,let him wee up a tree.if you were out in the woods he'd be encouraged to do the same.
I work in a Nursery for 3 to 5 year olds and we ask them if they want to stand up or sit down. Its personal preference. They start to get bashful at around school age and they will decide for themselves that they dont want all of their bum showing! They all do it differently. Its not wrong its just his way..Little boys find it hard to just 'poke it out' over the top. Tell your friend to keep her opinions to herself.
let him pee the way he wants he is still young but if you want you can teach him to just unzip his trousers but i know when mine were small they used to pull down theirs as well and never got laughed at as far as i am concerened you let them do what they feel comfortable with i have 4 boys
As the mother of 3 boys then pulling everything down is perfectly acceptable! I think your son would rather have dry clothes than wet ones! If he is still at nursery then you have plenty time to train him how to 'poke it out'! My 1st only learnt the art just before going to school. I was more concerned about who was going to wipe his botty for his no2s since this was a far bigger job to be done!
Anyway - most school trousers have elasticated waists for the younger ones, so it's inevitable that the trousers will have to be pulled down to a certain extent. They can be pulled down just enough without causing any problems.
I have to say tho - I think I'd be more inclined to make sure he goes to the toilet before leaving nursery and learns to hold in more so he doesn't have to wee at a tree!
My son is nearly 4, and he wears pants, not boxers, so he has to pull everything down too. I always taught him to stand up, because I think a boy sitting down, looks more weird than a boy standing up with everything down! I won't be buying boxers for my son unless I know he's 100% going to get it in the toilet and not on his clothes, cos surely people are more likely to make fun of a wet kid!?
I think your friend is a bit of a cow for making fun of something so sensitive. Who know's, by the time he starts school he may have naturally progressed to the "right" way of doing it.give him time, and tell her to shut her mouth next time!
DONT WORRY ABOUT IT WHEN HE GOS TO SCHOOL HE WILL SEE HIS MATES AND WILL DO THE SAME AS THEM
Your friend is being ridiculous..He is a child and he will learn by example. When I potty trained my boys I sent them to loo every time their dad went up. They saw they learned. If your son has no father figure at home, he will copy the kids at nursery eventually. Children of all ages do things differently. He will find a way that he is comfortable with. And anyway nursery school children do not make fun of each other, they are to young to understand social nuances, they just want to have fun. Stop worrying, and tell your friend to get a life!
tell your friend to leave him alone, he will learn how to do it that is comfortable to him, at least his pants stay dry
It is natural for a boy to pee standing up!! I would make him do it any other way! Dont listen to your friend and he will be fine!
when he is outside or at home tell him its okay for him to put his pants and undies all the way down but when he is at school he has to learn to pee with his pant down just a bit so he can pee not all the way down
one of my boys{ age 4} just pulls it out his pants like a adult male, now my other little boy { 3} strips all the way..lol.. but we are still teaching him to pee like a big adiult, he will soon learn if you teach him
whatever he's comfortable with- its more hygenic to pee standing up- especially with the state of the toilets in some places!
un zip his fly and take his out and pee
my son did the same thing. he will learn how to just pull it out. mine did.
