RM my three month old who is now 2 and a half was teething he got his first tooth at 3 months and he had all his teeth by a year.three month onld babies can have teeth just do tylenol or a wet washcloth anything they can chew on
anbesol is really good you could also try frozen carrot sticks or a teething ring or my son loved a wet flannel
yes try calpol or i found medised better. it was recomended to me by the health visitor that comes to see us. our son is 6mths old and medised is making the teething process so much easier.
Three month old babies do not have any teething problems, but can have colic - fussing and crying in the evenings, sometimes for half the night.
What problems are you noticing?
You can still use any of the remadies that are used on older babies. I swear by Hyland's Teething Tablets. You can get them at most grocery stores, Target, Walmart. They are all natural and disolve in baby's mouth. Tylenol, and orajel.
Have you got something the maybe can bite on, i.e. a teething ring, makes sure its steralised though, the baby needs to bite, it helps. Also i found rubbing a little bit of Bonjella on the gums helps, give the baby some Calpol if they are in pain
Get earplugs! Its hard my guy is 5 months and already has his teeth it is sooooooooooo hard. First you can give him tylenol or motrin, be careful ask your doctor how much you can give, go by weight not age, let him chew on wet washclothes that have been frozen in the freezer, and during the day you can give some baby orajel, don't give it at night I heard that the numbing effect can make their gag reflex not work. Good Luck
3 months.wow! I always put a teaspoon in the freezer and let my baby suck on it, it will numb the gums, otherwise rub calgel on it, but I believe in naturel rememdies so the first is better!
Try baby teething toys, or a frozen Popsicle in the plastic. Or just anything hard and frozen.
teething rings, or cold washcloths for them to chew on.
A 3 month old can surely be starting to teethe, I had 2 teeth by 4 months old. A good trick we learned with our first son was to rinse off a pacifier, then stick it in the freezer for a few minutes; this works much better because no one has to try to hold it while the baby chews on it. Also, DRUGS! Tylenol and gas drops were a great combo for us. Our pediatrician did advise us that Motrin/Advil is not to be given to babies under 6 months old.
I used those frozen teething tubes. My baby liked that :) I also used a medication, can't remember what it's called prescribed from the pediatrician.
there are all knds of things you can do. here are a few.
TEETHING TABLETS---found at walmart in the baby section Hyland's is the brand
BAGEL---frozen---it just gets mushy
WAFFELS---they get mushy too
TYENOL/MOTRIN---helps relive the pain
SCREEN FEEDER---also found at Walmart---you can put frozen fruit in it and allow them to chew it.
WET COLD WASH CLOTH---freeze it for 15 mins and allow to chew on it.
AN OLDIE BUT GOODIE---rum (captain morgans) natural numbing
TEETHING GELS---numb the gums but they make baby drool and some even choke on the drool.
try frozen carrot sticks
Wal-mart carries some homeopathic teething tablets. They dissolve instantly in your baby's mouth and are completely safe. I used them on all four of my boys and the really seem to help. They also make some for colic. Check with your doctor- that seems awful early for teeth but every child is different.
Yeah my baby started teething at 2 months, It was insane cuz he couldn't hold anything in his mouth yet, if your baby cant yet soothe himself try sitting him on your lap and holding your hand right below his chin like you're holding his head up for a burp but hold your hand a little higher and give him a chance to munch on your hand. Ask your doc if it's ok to give him Tynol or Oreajel for babies. Good luck, it gets easier
its a little young to be worried about teething but if he is then nature will takes its course and all you can do is help sooth the painn.bongela
bonjella
There is a really good medicine for this. They are tiny little pills that disolve instantly in the baby's mouth. I believe that they are just called Teething Pills. Go to Wal-Mart and they will know what you are talking about in the pharmacy. They are over the counter and I swear by them. They helped me through a lot of sleepless nights with my daughter. They are harmless. Give them a try.
baby oragel.
Bonjela strawberry flavour just for babies, can be used from 2 months old
Babies this age can get teeth-my second son could his first tooth at 4 months-think he was teething from the get go-he would always be chewing on his soft toys!
My son was not really bothered by pain-he just loved to bite anything he could get in his mouth..I think you have all the answers here already-wet cloth, chilled teething ring(not straight out of the freezer-baby can get frozen burns from that!)but I preferred Calpol and bongela if he was upset for quick relief!
Good luck-my son had all his teeth by 12 months so it does not go on forever!
Calpol and baby nurofen. If it's bad you give 5ml of calpol and 2.5 ml of nurofen an hour later. This was told to me by a paediatrician when my daughter was teething and it worked a treat.
my little one LOVED wet baby cloths frozen. not for 15 mins. just kept in the freezer for the times i would need them. Wet about a quarter of it, and put about 5-6 of them in the freezer.
When she was fussy and cheeks were flushed and she was drooling, i knew it was time for one! Best part of it was, b/c she was drooling so much, it gave her a little extra fluid too!
I agree as well with the soother thing. We were told by a friend that the (sorry for the names here) Winnie the pooh and tigger soothers actually HELD WATER in the part that goes in the mouth. We would squeeze it till it was full under water, then we would freeze it. Keep it in there until needed! Works like a charm!
:o) Hope this helps!
My neice teethed at three months, we used a new baby washcloth with a little crushed ice inside held closed with a scrunchie (hair elastic) <==== sorry didn't know if you are american or not. also with a three month old, i'd let her chew on my finger, she is not as dangerous as a 9 month old doing it, not very strong chompers yet! we would dip our clean finger into our glass of iced tea for a moment to make it cool, then let her chew!
Calpol and Bonjela. Worked a treat for my teething three month old :)
Good luck.
Bikki pegs, for baby to chew on. When my daughter was teething she had a hide dog chew (clean of cause, not wot the dog had had)!
If u have no bonjela or calgel rub on the gums a little brandy.
My son used to have a jam jar lid, kept it cool in the fridge.
