He might be suffering from constipation. Is he getting enough water and fibre into his diet?

lots of water,
apple juice,
OJ
Gatorade
chocolate exlaz will help
stay away from milk, cheese, and other dairy.
Yeah! More poop questions! Thank you!
Is he eating something like a big brick of cheese every day? If so, I'd stop him from doing it. Either that or let him drink a bunch of beer and let the beer and cheese fight it out. Kinda like a science experiment.
stool softener! Its gentle and it works, my Lil sis used to have that problem and that's what the Doc. said! You can get it at walgreens or any drug store.
try senna pods in hot water every day as a warm drink only leave them in for a few mins as the taste is unpleasant if solution is too strong
Well the best thing to do is to let him drink some kind of herbal tea like pepermint tea or something, and also make sure he's eating properley, If that does'nt work then the best thing to do is to go doctors
Give him more juices (apple juice, or apple cranberry), give him apple sauce with dinner, and to keep it secret that you know he's having problems, make it so the apple sauce is for everyone, not just him.
Have him lay off the cheese for a while, that would only bring more complications.
Sounds like constipation.
Make sure he gets plenty to drink, soda is great if you're constipated, or fresh orange or pineapple juice.
Fibre on its own will make it worse so don't give him bran flakes or anything like that. Fibre needs to be really well soaked in liquis to have the effect you want. 3 dried apricots or prunes soaked in orange juice every day will sort him out, at the same time stop giving him eggs or potatoes until he's more comfortable as they bind you up.
Make sure he gets plenty of fresh fruit and veg.
Sounds like he's embarassed about it too, so be tactful!
Get prune juice
Give him more fruit and high fibre food. Encourage water. Maybe buy a cool water bottle that he can carry around with him. Exercise is the other good one. Is he an active boy? Maybe encourage soccer or something like that. In some cases constipation can be caused by stress ( Irritable bowel syndrome) Just keep an eye on him and see if things imporve, if not take him to the doctor. Avoid any medicated treatment at this point. Bowels become dependant on these things, and can make the problem worse. Only use as a last resort.
I just noted another entry that says to give him soda. Soda is full of sodium, which is dehydrating and will make the constipation worse. God Bless
Go to a doctor.
I agree with Sarah on one point, he might be embarassed that you are standing outside the door. Also, is this just a today problem or ongoing? If today only I wouldn't worry, if its ongoing I would take him to the doctor. Good luck.
At 10 yrs old, he may be embarrassed but you can do the talking. Explain to him that it is not unusual to get constipation but if it is happening often it is not good for his health. He is probably lacking in fibe. Fruit and vegetables as well as wholemeal bread, brown rice and plenty of fluids (preferably water) will keep his system ticking over nicely. Also, tell him to go to the toilet when he needs to. Holding on can cause constipation too! If this doesn't do the trick a visit to your doctor is probably a good idea. He made need some medication to keep him regular. Hope this helps, good luck.
Ok, if it is constipation then fresh orange juice and / or licquorice worked well for my daughter. She didn't drink enough fluids and had problems because of it.
you know banana and papaya really helps you should give him the fruits.. since its healthy and harmless.. and keep him off milo and chocolate.this tends to make it difficult..lol.experiance i guess..if the problem persists then take him to a doctor.do what you think is best
take him to the dr.
Give him some prune juice or some apple juice. Not too much though, you don't want him to have the opposite effect. Someone mentioned bananas, I hear they are binding and are good for the runs, so don't use them for constipation. Also, make sure he gets plenty of exercise.
Stick a suppository up his ***.
maybe hes not trying to lay a cable but hes got some porn in there and is spanking the monkey. hes about the right age to start burping the worm so who knows. sorry to be a bit base about it but its a proper reply
is he not eating right? stay with an healthy diet.also he might be constipated or something so u can get these plum?/prunes? things or someting at the store dat help.cause dats happened to me and my mom got plum things.or if that doesnt work talk to a doctor!
hope i helped u! -Niki
give him a mild stool softener (something over the counter like collace.with no cramping) and make sure he gets plenty of fluid.also try to keep on eye on what he is eating until this passes.limit red meat, starches and sugars and if you can get him to eat fruit bombard him with it!

make sure he drinks alot of water and eats at least one fresh fruit a day. If that doesnt help take him to see the doc. Drink water , not soda of juices.
at his age hes probley not wanting to stop playing or douing whatever so hes probley holding it alot instead of going when he should. my docter told us about our son to put more fiber in his diet so hes forced to go more often and so he wont get constipated, and maybe even asking him if hes had a bowel movement every other day. it can become very serious so id keep an eye on this problem
make sure he is drinking plenty of water, have him eat some green leafy veggies and apples, those things help with constipation. and stay away from bananas.
Take him to the doctor for an x-ray. I just found out my son who is in and out of the toilet in 1 minute eats lots of fibre drinks lots of water is constipated in the sense that it is all clogged in the intestines yet he shows no signs of constipation (he had stomach pains that what they were investigating) The doctor can't understand it as he eats more fibre than most kids. He needs medication to help clear it out for the next month. Water and fibre alone won't do it
I'm sure you've heard it all before. he needs more fibre, water and veggies in his diet !? Obviously if none of these hv worked try a spoon of olive oil at bedtime or a suppository to help flush him out completely. It can also be a reaction to something going on in his life at the mo. Speaking from experience, every time my husband would go away on business, my son had severe problems going for a poo . Up to almost 2 weeks. In the end suppositories were the only relief, and with help from family to put them in . Hope this sorts itself out .
try feeding him raisins or prunes.
