Period's delay?

this tuesday my periods came and the following monday i have a competition at swimming! my periods usually last 6-7 days, but my question is:
is there any medicine or way to stop my period?(note: i can't use a tampon bcuz i'm still a virgin)

Answers:
You poor thing. You are so missed informed. I am not sure if you are asking these things because you are serious and just don't know or if you are being funny, but just in case - I'll tell you the truth.
You can use a tampon f you are a vrigin. Using a tampon will not make you a non-virgin. You only lose your virginity if you have sex. Thant's it.
As far as stopping your period, there is no real way to stop it once it has started. Some birth control pills can allow you to have a period or not and some can make them much ighter. Extreme stress or extreme fitness/ exercise can also delay a period, but this is an extreme case and not healthy. Go to the library and get some info - fast.
You're virginity has no bearing on whether or not you can use a tampon. Your doctor can give you tablets to delay a particular period, but if it's just started, it's here to stay!
im a virgin and i used a tampon
whoever told you you cant use a tampon bewcause your a virgin lied to you. you can use one. your period should be over by monday. that would be day seven. if not all gone it will be all but gone. you should be fine
ask your mother
tampons can be worn wether you are a virgin or not
Tampon is your only hope. Your virginity is not an issue (although it is commendable!)
No there is no medication that can delay your periods or stop them.
Just because your a virgin doesn't mean you can't use tampons.

I'm sure everything is going to be fine.

Good Luck with the competition.
visit the doctor,
Whoever told you that virgins can't use tampons fed you a load of crap. I had my period when I was still a virgin, and I went swimming all the time. It's much safer on your body to go ahead and use a tampon than to stop your body's natural functions. There are ways to do it with birth control, but still being a virgin and having a period that's on a normal schedule I wouldn't suggest using it. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But I would use the tampons for a few days before hand so that you know you're comfortable with them. And make sure you follow ALL the instructions in the bow. You can get very sick from leaving them in too long. It's called Toxic Shock Syndrome, or TSS, ad I had it twice. Trust me, you don't want to know what it's like.
Unfortunately they are all right tampons are your only option if your period has already started. but in the future you can go on the pill or there is also different tablets your doctor can prescribe you.

Best thing is go to a nice lady doctor, your mum or a close friend and ask them how to use a tampon.
i a virgin but i use tampon all you have to do is try wearin a tampon it does hurt
u can still were a tampon and be a virgan it is ok i sware just if u were one make sure change the tampon to nit get an infectioon
Being a virgin makes no difference, you can still use a tampon.
haha..hunny.tampons will not affect your virginity. Looks like you have no choice on this anyways. If your worried because your super tight then buy the extra narrow ones. It may take practice getting it in and finding it comortable. I promise you will not lose your virginity to a tampon.
u can stil b a virgin n use a tampon huni. how old r ya cuz u dnt no much do ya talk 2 a close female relative or doctor n dey wil explain it 4 u its only nature takin its cause no need 2 b worried bab
You can use a tampon even though you are a virgin! DONT WORRY!
Your period stops in water don't worry.
Despite many answers here, you CAN actually stop a period once it has started (with certain medications).

In your case, there is no need though, just use a tampon.

Use of a tampon does not make you 'not a virgin'. Indeed, tearing of the hymen from anything other than sex does not make you 'not a virgin' either.
u can use a tampon when ever, some people dont like to but i dont know
I used tampons for 2 years before I had sex, don't let that stop ya. There is no way to stop your period short of getting on birth control pills that don't allow a bleeding period.
you can use them even if you are a virgin.just have a go.try the smallest tampons first.easier than you think. best of luck
being thatt you are at such a young age i don't think there is any medication, for you. Let me tell you this and remember this and it is true, being that you are a virgin it doesn't meaan you are not able to use a tampon, meybe you should have the sex talk with someone, so you can have a better understanding
You can still use a tampon. You just need to get the smallest one that they make and take your time inserting.
being a virgin has nothing to do with tampon usage, just use one anyway
Sweetie, you can use a tampon if you are a virgin. Its a common misunderstanding but tampons will not make you lose your virginity and can be more comfortable than pads. Tampax has some that could be exactly what you need, they are called "Juniors". Read the instructions carefully, relax, take your time and be sure to wash your hands to keep your "lady area" clean. Good Luck at your meet!
talk to your mom - your doctor & your swim coach (if a girl) - ask other girl swimmers what they do

being a virgin is the best thing in life - keep it until marriage
you won't lose your virginity if you wear a tampon, i startedwearing tampons before i lost mine and never had any problems, but i would stay away from scented tampons cuz they have a higher chance of that disease, i can't think of the name right now, but yeah. tampons are not evil!
I use tampons and I'm a virgin. Tampons have nothing to do with losing your virginity. Talk to your mom about this.
Although you are a virgin, you can still use tampons. I did when I first began mine.
First not using a tampon because your a virgin is a falacy. Before we were married my wife used a tampon and she was a virgin. Second talk to your doctor about the contraceptive shot. That has been known to stop a womens period from occurring. However if your physically active as a swimmer, I'm surprised you have a period at all.
