every person, and every pregnancy is different, but since you are writing this question you must feel slightly concerned about your loss of appetite. you should think about calling your gp or midwife just to discuss it a bit.
you dont say how far into the pregnancy you are. especially in the early days i experienced loss of appetite. i could only eat steamed vegetables and not much else as my tastebuds had changed so significantly. into the second trimester i was fine. please do make sure that you try to force yourself to eat throughout the day. if you dont fancy a meal, just graze all day long. after shopping, set up some small grazing snacks to eat during the next week - cut up some carrots and celery and put it into a couple of different plastic containers with tinned corn (or corn on cob cut down into kernals) as this is quite sweet and a great snack. also put some digestives or crackers in another few containers. (and any other foods like nuts or cut up fruit that you would normally enjoy eating). each day take a couple of containers with you and nibble. try making smoothies with lots of different coloured fruits, and throw in a brocolli or two, you wont notice its there and will be delicious. adding celery and ginger really adds to the taste too. good luck.
you should eat at every meal. It is not good for the baby for you to skip meals.
No you should be eating slightly more; for you and your baby.
Consult your Dr if I was you.
Each one is different. You're going to have to eat more often during the day, you and the baby need that food. Eat smaller meals off and on. Enjoy snacking on things.
This is not unusual. Your abdominal cavity is "packed" right now. Try eating a small quantity of highly nutritious high-calorie foods every few hours to allow yourself and your child adequate nutrition.
Yes. It is normal not to feel hungry..BUT you need to eat anyway. A few bites will keep you going you going and ensure that your baby continues to be fed. You're probably eating more than you think you are. You dont really need to sit down and have a whole meal. Eat a healthy nutritonal diet with plenty of natural foods and drink plenty of fluids.
Good luck and Lucky you!
i was like that a few weeks ago but now I'm eating like a horse, and at my scan my baby is big for his age so i don't think its anything to worry about, Ur appetite will soon kick back in
I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my son. The GP said it was ok just as long as did eat properly for the obvious reason. I went off steak and chicken during that time too and the only craving I had was for bananas.
Try having smoothies or protien shakes. I find I can get these down even when I'm not hungry.
Also, if you can make yourself eat something first thing in the morning, you'll probably find you're more hungry throughout the day.
That depends on how far along you are. If you are in your first trimester, lack of appetite due to morning sickness if fairly common. It's like you want to eat, but your eyes are bigger than your stomach.
If it's any other time in your pregnancy, though, I would talk to your doctor.
If it's your first trimester, though, don't worry. You'll get your appetite back soon.
try eating a bit of fruit or pure fresh fruit juice any thing wiv alot of goodness for the baby an for ur self or ur ave no energy. see the doctor an explain to him aswell good luck wiv everything
Yes its normal to not feel hungry.Your appetite will probably go up & down at different times in your pregnancy. For example many women find it hard to eat at the beggining when its common to get 'morning sickness' & at the end when the stomach is squashed by the uterus.
The best way to deal with this is to eat little & often, this will also help maintain your energy levels.
A doctor told me once when i had the same worry, your body's priority is to nourish your baby first so you will suffer any effects of malnutrition long before your baby does.
i was like that in my last pregnancy. the doctor said it was ok but just eat little and often.
