Answers:

because "morning sickness" is a misnomer. its caused by the pregnancy hormones coupled with you not having any food in your system -- which is why a lot of women get it in the morning.
Just keep eating small snacks whenever you feel nauseous. That will help more than anything!
Morning sickness is wrongly labelled. It can occur any time of the day or night. It should be called maternity sickness!
I luckily missed long bouts of it but my friend was so ill she started hallucinating and had to be rehydrated she was so ill! There's always someone who has to have it worse than everyone else ;)
it has to do with the hormones, not the time of day. snack on crackers or dry toast.
Everyone is different. My sister had it all day. I only had it in the morning. I would guess that occurs mostly in the morning when people get up, so they just named it that
Morning sickness is a misnomer. It can happen any time of day. My morning sickness didn't happen until I walked in the door after work.
Don't worry, you're normal!
because the sickness got sick of arriving in
the morning all the time.
I mean come ON
cut it some slack!
it still does the job of making you throw up, right?
well, there ya go.
Morning sickness is just a name given to the malady. It doesn't mean that it always occurs in the morning.
Morning sickness is one of the notable misnomers in medicine -- nausea during pregnancy can occur at any time of day. Although many women are queasiest when they wake up, others find that they suffer a daily bout of nausea in the late afternoon or just after dinner. As many women have found out, you can definitely experience morning sickness on an empty stomach.
If you have morning sickness, you’ve got lots of company: About 80 percent of pregnant women experience some nausea or queasiness. It usually begins between the fourth and eighth week of pregnancy and often continues until the 16th to 20th week. Things usually improve during the second trimester, but unfortunately some women continue to suffer bouts of nausea and vomiting throughout their entire pregnancy.
What causes morning sickness?
No one knows the exact cause, but some experts think that it results from elevated hormone levels. One theory is that increased levels of estrogen and a hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), which is produced by the placenta, appears to cause nausea. In fact, women carrying multiples -- who tend to have higher levels of hCG than women carrying a single child -- often suffer a more severe form of morning sickness.
Other factors that may play a role in morning sickness include a more acute sense of smell and changes in the digestive system that accompany pregnancy; with your slowed digestion and more relaxed muscles, food can stay in your stomach longer and stomach acid may splash back into the esophagus, contributing to nausea and heartburn. Many women also find that increased fatigue and stress can trigger or exacerbate morning sickness.
Some experts believe that morning sickness evolved as a type of advantage for pregnant women. The idea is that a more sensitive nausea response keeps women from eating foods that are most likely to be toxic to the fetus during early pregnancy.
'morning sickness' is just a term, you can get it at anytime of the day or night.
Read any pregnancy book.
Time of day doesn't matter, it can be at absolutely any time or even all day long (or not at all if you're lucky!).
Try eating ginger biscuits. Having something light to eat should make you feel better and ginger is a natural anti-emetic. These helped my wife a lot.
It is called morning sickness, because most women feel sick in the early hours of the day, but there has been women to feel sick all day, every day. Maybe it is what you are eating at lunch. I think it is very normal.Good luck and take care!
Morning is a misnomer in Morning sickness it can happen at any time of the day and even can keep occuring all day long. Avoid strong smelling or tasting foods these can trigger it, but keep your blood sugar up as this can also aggravate it. Try nibbling ginger snaps, or any dry biscuit - it helped me.
You can have morning sickness at any time of the day and some people have morning sickness all day.
The same thing happened to me. I would feel fine in the morning and then start feeling sick from about 3pm. It would last all evening. But I found that if I was tired, it got a lot worse, so I would take a little nap in the early afternoon, which would help a lot.
I also found drinking ginger beer helped a lot.
don't know why its called morning sickness i got it morning noon and night with my second child , ginger is meant to help try biscuits if you don't like the crystals
I have always felt that they should stop calling it "Morning Sickness". Everyone's body is different and reacts differently to pregnancy. I, myself, had Evening Sickness. I was fine through the day and had my sickness more in the evening, usually anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. I think they should just sum it up as "Pregnancy Sickness". I wouldn't worry about it, lots of people out there don't have the traditional "Morning Sickness". And, congratulations!
Morning sickness is a misnomer.
I had mine all day long.and it STARTED at 6 months and lasted til 8months!!
Are you taking prenatal vitamins? When do you take them? Taking them at dinner time MIGHT help, but didn't really help me.
Do you have a snack between breakfast & lunch? It is possible that you are nauseous after lunch because you didn't have anything between those 2 meals. It takes a while to get your blood sugar back up after lunch if you have gone too long without eating.
it comes any time of the day, i get mine in the evening after coming back from work. it's ok to have it, it's a sign that very soon u will be a mother.
Someone wrongly named morning sickness. Some women get sick all day long or just at night. It depends on each woman. They just wrongly named it thats all.
Honey, I had morning, noon and night sickness. It was 24/7 for 9 months. I'd wake up out of a deep sleep in the middle of the night & have to lean over the side of the bed. Don't let the word "morning" fool you.
it can occur anytime
I can't answer why... but morning sickness is certainly a misnomer. it's not for mornings only.. and every woman is different.
I had morning sickness 24 hours a day.. I went to sleep with it, woke up with it.. it was horrible.
for me, I think my allergies acted up because my sinuses got swollen during pregnancy. I tried to stand in a steamy bathroom to clear my head. sometimes it worked. I tried aromatherapy oils, which helped sometimes. I also drank mint or chamomile tea to settle my stomach. sometimes worked. I found these little hard candies with a fizzy center which really helped for some reason.. (I can't remember what they are but they were always in the bulk candy section.)
Make sure your doctor okays anything you try, though!
Perhaps what you are eating for lunch doesn't agree with you.
In any event, it will pass shortly.. if it is very severe, your doctor needs to know and intervene.
Right now it's awful, but in a flash it will be a distant memory..
You can have morning sickness any time of the day..
Because u woke up from your sleep in the afternoon.
because morning sickness is just a loose term. You can actually get it any time.
I feel sick most mornings....am i pregnant?
you can get it any time! nightmare eh?
keep eating little amounts of healthy things throughout the day, and make sure you are getting enough nutrients which (i think) can maybe be a cause.maybe get a good quality multi-vitamind for pregnancy.
Try to rest as much as you can.and I also found that cold sparkling water helped with mine.and just remember it wont' last forever and you are gonna get something really lovely at the end of all this!
