Whats the best present for a 4 yr old boy these days?
Answers:
A present for a four year old boy well it depends what this little boy is in to !
Does he like animals?
If so then go for plastic animals which he could play make believe with or if hes in to dinosaurs then dinosaurs or a book on animals which you could read to him at night time it will help him sleep and boost his education !
Does he like characters? E.G : Thomas the tank engine or bob the builder.
If this little boy that your buying for likes characters like thomas the tank engine then buy him Toy or model trains or soft toys that are in the shape of the characters. If its a tv programme then im sure you can buy the series or just one episode on dvd or video for him to watch. Buy the books so again who ever the parents / guardians of the child is can spend some quality time with thier son reading to him and bonding even more while helping improve his vocabularly and help him read ! Also I know that characters like Bob the builder have cd's with thier sound tracK on it This could be Ideal !!
Boyish Items
In any other case u can buy him boyish items like cars or trucks !
Sweets or Chocolate.
All Kids and maybe adults have a sweet tooth so if its sweets or chocolate you know he'l be happy !
Playstation or Electronic Games.
This will please any boy as long as u know what kind of thing hes into.
E.g : Fighting games or Race games
Money
After all this if your still stuck then get him money so he can buy what he wants next time his parents go shopping !
Hope this helps it took ages 2 write !
Three options.
A toy truck.
A teddybear/plush toy of some description.
A new toddler's video game.
-sigh-
toy trucks , Lego
gun or knife
car toys- batman or spiderman figures, quite easy, really!
book vouchers.you can do nothing better for a child than getting him into reading..theres a whole new world waiting for him
Movies.
Curious George just came out on dvd.
do you have penneys or primark where you live well they have pyjamas there dress up ones for 6euro i dont know what they would be in pounds. they are cool i got them for my 3yr old and he was quite happy with them
play dough. it helps with their sensory motor skills and they learn to grip the pencil faster.
Kids of that age just want to be like their dad or older brother...a mini bike or quad which is all the rage at the moment or a pedal car...
Books!
Get him a toy in a toy shop. He would love that. Or what he would more than likely love more than ANYTHING is a video, maybe Tomas The Tank Engine or Bob The Builder, Barney, The Rugrats there's loads to choose from. But DON'T get him clothes.
A four pound lump hammer,he will have hours of fun smashing things up and strengthening his arms as well
some kind of learning toy or some kind of project
It all depends on what kind of stuff he likes.
When my son, who is 6 now, turned 4 one of the things I got him was the Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP and some games for younger kids. It was pretty hard to find games for him to play at that age though. I was going to get him the Leapster L-Max, it is a hand held video game system by Leap Frog that has educational games and it also plugs into the tv so they can play on the tv screen at home. A friend of mine got one for her son and he loves it.
If you are looking for something less spendy then I would go for some toys based on the latest characters kids are into nowdays. I know my son loves The Avatar, Ben 10, Yu-Gi-Oh, Transformers, Cars (based on the Disney movie) and stuff like that.
Good Luck!
its toys or learning books
a toy truck or cars or lego depends on what he likes

the v smile from v tech is great--it's an educational video game system that is fabulous. my 3 and a half year old loves pirate stuff and tinkertoys!

Hotwheels, drawing, painting, side walk chalk, coloring stuff, pretend shaving kit for the bath tub, veggie tale videos, any kind of ball- we bought him a basketball, baseball, football, soccer ball, kick ball for is birthday he loves them and can't wait to get outside! Plus you can get most of the balls at Wal-mart for about 5 dollars each. Good Luck!
My 4 year old was big time into Thomas the Tank engine. If you are unsure what this little boy is into, here is a list of toys recommended for 4-5 year olds from Target:

Tickle Me Elmo
At 4, my son was all into dinosaurs! Toys, clothes, books, movies, you name it! Also, he loved his Vsmile at that age.it might be like a video game, but he learned a lot from it! It was fun to sit with him and help him and watch him learn new things! He was much more into learning with Buzz Lightyear, Thomas the Train, Bob the Builder, Mickey, Spiderman, and many more, than with boring old mom!
Lego's,Lego's,Lego's
Books! There are great Tonka books around.
