im 39 weeks due thurs. the baby has slowed down but still moves just i get scared when she doesnt is it ok? Had appt tues and boyfriend said doc would of said something if something was wrong. Also she said ill give you till next week then ill help start labor.Have a ppt tues should i find out when shes going to due that since im due thurs she said she was going to let me only go to next week got induced with last daughter because of preclamise(sorry about spelling) thanks so much

Both my pregnancies my babies slowed down in movement in the last weeks. I think every mom is paranoid. Your Dr. would have for sure said if anything was wrong. Try and relax and if necessary go to the hospital to have them check you out if it will make you feel better (if its a girl will you name it after me?)
I don't believe anything is wrong, This is very common actually. Baby has no where to move now! He's/ she's a big baby now and ready to come out! Still see your doctor. but don't worry much. Just rest up for the big day. Good luck
Just let nature have her way, If there was any thing to worry about you will have all the care you need from your doctor/midwife. Enjoy what you have and that is bringing a new life into the world which is a fantastic feeling. goodluck
Dont worry kid, ur baby doesnt move so much cos its all outta room in there, it takes so much effort to move, it just cant be bothered trying! My baby was just the same! Being induced sounds like a good thing especially if ur showing symptoms of pre-eclampsyia! Don't worry about nothin, you are about to enjoy the miracle of birth!
yes that's perfectly normal its ok. ur bf is right if anything was wrong ur doc would have let u know it.
no its ok the baby won't move as much as what you are probably used to because there is no room in there to move. the usually wait to induce a week over 40 weeks with a healthy pregnancy so i wudn't worry too much at the moment. just try get plently of sleep and relax to save ur energy for labor. good luck with it all, and if you have any real concerns just ring the labor ward at the hospital you'll be going to they will tell you what you need to know. good luck!

There probably is nothing wrong with the baby. When babies settle into birthing position they tend to slow down a bit. If you are concerned call your doctor. I got scared also. My doctore said that my daughter was fine and I went on to having a healthy 8 1/2 pund baby girl.
Congratulations! I think you are fine. The baby movements decrease during the last month because he is getting big and do not have enough space to move. I have all my babies at 39 weeks and 2 or 3 days. So if you go to 42 weeks without have your baby then they may induce your labor. You are fine. Just with nerves. Good Luck!
if at anytime you don't feel comfortable about babys movement don't hesitate to go to the doctors .this happened to me towards the end , they should hook you up to check babys movements etc .I had to go in every day .Everything should be fine + don't let your doctor fob you off if your worried .good luck
Try not to worry. As the baby grows bigger they become less active in the later weeks of pregnancy as they don't have a lot of room to carry out somersaults.
If the doctor was at all worried, then they would have told you there and then and carried out procedures to check all was ok and if necessary deliver the baby by emergency c-section.
If you're still worried, then call your doctor and explain your anxieties and hopefully the medical staff will be able to put your mind at rest.
If you suffered pre-eclampsia with a previous pregnancy then you will be getting more care with this second baby than other women that had normal pregnancies so I'm confident that your medical team are doing all they can to look after you.

When the baby get very close to the due date, the level of fluid in the uterus decreases so the baby fits in very tightly. This means it can't move around so much. As long as it is still moving, I wouldn't think you have anything to worry about. Call your midwife if you're still concerned. That's what they're there for! They won't think you're being silly and you'll be glad you did call if there is something wrong. Set your mind at rest and speak to someone. Good luck with the birth!
its probably cos ur baby is bigger this time round and it doesnt have much space to move around but if ur still worried c ur midwife im sure she will be glad to check the heart beat etc

First.. the baby has MUCH LESS room to move around now and second the baby is probably getting ready and in position to be born. As long as you are still feeling some movements every hour, you should be fine. But if you're worried, call your doctor and just tell them your concerns. That's what they are there for and it may help set your mind at ease. You could also call a local ask a nurse or the OB floor at your local hospital.

my 2 were awful kickers until i got near my due date, then they were 2 cramped 2 move much so they slowed down! this is what makes you give birth naturally cos the baby gives off a hormone that kickstarts labour when theres not enough room for it anymore!
