everyone is calling this baby acne but in fact i have a 4 month old boy and it is not acne. when you feed a baby and a little of the milk goes into the chunky folds of the neck and is left there without being washed off with wash cloth and water (not baby wipes) it causes those bumps which is a rash. primarily looking red with some small red bumps. if the bumps are on the babys face it could be an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent you are using on your cloths. dont worry although not very pretty at all. these things are very normal and should clear up in a day or 2. i make sue i have a damp wash cloth there at everyfeeding now to avoid getting those bumps/rash. i also make sure his neck is dry after cleaning his neck. i have to use a bib to keep him from drooling and spitting up on his cloths that touch his neck also. because this will also cause that pesky little rash. dont you just love to kiss the baby's little fat necks. and they have such a pleasent smell.
Yes dear it is!
Babies can actually get acne, because of exposure to our hormones at birth and through breastfeeding. Here's a couple of articles that might be informative. Don't hesitate to discuss your concerns with your doctor, but this is probably not anything to worry about and he will eventually outgrow this. At least until he becomes a teenager.
yeah its normal. I believe its called baby acne...my son had it when he was a baby.
It will go away and if your are really worried just ask your Dr.
Hearing what the Dr. says might make you feel better.
Always ask no matter how stupid you may think it is.
I always did..lol.
no depending on how they look bacause it could be the clothes that you put on him at night they might be to hot and also you should call your doctor just to make sure that your baby is not getting an infectin because of something that he eat or drank cause he might be allergic to it but the best thing to do is check with your doctor just to keep it on the safy side
babies have very sensitive skin so they are prone to lots of skin issues. as long as it goes away after a while and he doesnt have any other symptoms i think he is fine. but he may have an allergy to something, you may want to ask a doctor.
YES IT IS AND DO NOT PICK THEM THEY WILL GO AWAY ON THERE OWN.
yeah, its probably heat bumps
yes, it's normal. a baby's skin is much more sensitive than our own and its normal for them to get bumps over sweating too much, a change in laundry detergent, food allergies, etc.
my granddaughter gets bumps if we feed her bananas. this is my daughter's first baby and she freaked out when our granddaughter broke out in bumps. we began tracing it back every time it happened and it was the bananas!
so don't worry, i think your son is fine.
My son would get a heat rash if he sweat too much or was bundled up too warm. They were tiny little bumps that would fade.
The ones on his neck are probably a heat rash. The bumps on his face are baby acne. If you have questions about your new born, be sure to write them down and ask your doctor. That is why they are paid. It's good to have information from other people. But when in doubt, ask your doctor.
