I am 4 weeks pregnany and the doctor ordered Duphaston (orally active progestogen) because I had a miscarraige
Now to be safe doctor ordered this kind of pills. Was anyone been pregnant and had to take them. They are to improve lining of the womb. Any side effects on the baby? and do you have to take them on empty stomach or with food? Just wanted some information about them.

Low progesterone actually causes miscarriages. The pills are to correct that. AS for what to take them with you can call the pharmacist

I have heard that progesterone taken during pregnancy can cause a miscarriage. I am not sure if you still are pregnant or not, but if you are, I wouldn't take it until after you have talked to your doctor or other doctors more. I do not take anything during pregnancy without being fully aware of what it is, what the risks are to me and my unborn child. Always be educated.
I'd put a call into your doctor's office or the pharmacy to check when you should take them, or if you should eat before.
I know a few women that took progesterone to help thicken the lining of the uterus and I don't remember hearing about any possible problems with the fetus.
I had four miscarriages and a stillborn baby at 28 weeks. I was not offered or advised to take anything to help the pregnancies. I don't think you should take them just yet. The doctor obviously hasn't informed you enough. Make sure you know exactly what you are taking and why. You must be very careful.
Eat before you take um. My mom ust to say."Abby if you take pills on a empty stomach they will give you a stomach ache and the pills will end up coming out of your mouth at some point." and it happend when I wasent that carful. But ask your doctor eneny way. GOOD LUCK WITH THE BABY.
