i am the best ...probably don't live anywhere near you, still the best thing to do is go to social services they will give you a list ,otherwise go by recommendation that's how i have go all my children over the years.good luck, make sure you are shown all around the house, and go when there are other children there. keep a look outside the property to see how the children are treated ,it's only a few bad childminders out ther so don't worry. look on the internet a lot of child minders are on there now, i have a problem getting mine to go home at the end of the day, hope you find somone like that...
Contact your local council, they should be able to point you in the right direction.
dammit Keith took my joke lol
try asking local parents though people you know and trust.
Social services will have a list of registered childminders who are reputable..
hope that helps
my uncle tony is very good with children..
Your local social service's should provide you with a list of council approved minders
For starters would depend on where you are. If you live in East Sussex you could start here: http://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/childrenand.
But saying that . My then 1-year old went to a childminder that is registered with them. After i saw the childminder feeding her own 18-month-old Skips i took my daughter out. I prefer to bring my kid up without artificial colours or sweeteners if i can help it.
Now she has been in the local college nursery for over 2 years and she is very happy and i got peace of mind.
you should google your towns newspaper and search if there are any nannies or babysitters. If you live in a city then you might find a good agency who will have someone ready for you.
Or you can just ask a family friend or relative for a last-minute favor.
found this info through OFSTED. "contact your local Children's Information Service (CIS)". you can also call Childcare Link 08000 96 02 96, or you can email info@opp-links.org.uk. "Childcare providers have to be registered with OFSTED and will have a registration certificate, which should be displayed".
Personal experience, visit them! if there are toys all over the place, that is good. if the floor is not clean, that is not good. Each childminder will be authorised to accept a certain number of children, according to their ages. always ask if they have a place for the age of your child. Good luck!
Social services should have a list of all registered childminders in your local area.
get in touch with your local surestart or social services.Ask for a list of registered childminders.all registered childminders are checked by Ofsted.
Ask your local sure start they will give you a list of resisted childminders and good nursery's
