It's different for every woman and at all different ages too. My friend has 2 children. It took her 10 months to get pregnant the first time at the age of 26 and - bingo - first time with her second at 31.
One thing I will say though is don't leave it any longer if you feel you are ready. If you haven't conceived within a year you should seek medical advice because if you have a fertility problem (either of you) then, in some areas, free fertility treatment is only available to women under the age of 35 and you can wait a while to even get the tests done.
Good luck.
Shall I say it could take one night if done during ovulation- that is all it takes- =my sister was 34- and had a healthy baby boy= D
About 2 1/2 to 3 mins. depends if hes had a drink.
If you don't have any known fertility issues and are in good health. it should take you no longer than most women. You could get pregnant the first month . or it could take several months. My aunt got pregnant at 39 years old the first month trying. But it took my 25 year old friend almost 6 months to conceive. So. it's hard to say.
i'm 34. my periods were irregular. the doctor put me on clomid to FORCE ovulation and make ovulation predictable (like clock work). once i started having periods i was pregnant within 2 months!
if you are already having regular cycles i can't see why getting pregnant would be a difficult task :)
In one ejaculation, tens of millions of sperms rushes into you. Just one healthy sperm at your ovulation time is sufficient to end you up pregnant
It really depends on the person. You fertility halves between the age of 25 and 35, but at 33 there should be no reason why you don't conceive pretty quickly. I think the general rule is that half of you has to prepare yourself that it could take a year or more, and the other half of you has to think that it could happen the first month of trying!
Good luck!
Some fall quickly like my wife but other friends have had more trouble. A doctor told one friend that were not conceiving to try to get rid of some stress out of the woman's life and go on a relaxing type holiday where you just sit around at the beach.
I'm 30 in a few weeks and I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I tried for over a year, I truly believe that people who try to conceive and who wait every month to see if there period starts wait longer to fall pregnant. I think if your both ready for a baby then stop taking precautions, practise, and see what happens. Don't let trying to conceive take over you life. My friend was so anxious to have a baby she tried to get pregnant for years, no one understood why she wasn't and her doctor offered her ivf. It wasn't until she went for her first appointment that she was told she was actually pregnant. I believe she was under so much pressure of wanting to fall pregnant her body didn't relax until she thought she was going to get help. She is also now pregnant again. It will happen when it happens. Good luck xx
Tiffany, the age does not matter.
To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released. That is the time that it takes to conceive.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
I'm 28 and it took 6 months, when i was 24 it took one try! they do say it takes longer as you get older, but to be honest with you, if i had realised it would take 6 months this time i would have started trying a lot earlier!
Remember though, don't wait too long, cos if you have fertility problems, it may not be sorted out for another couple of years after the first year of trying! My mates been trying for three years now and they've only just seen a fertility specialist cos the waiting list is so long!!
i'm 38 and have a 3 year old daughter. had a misscarriage when i was 26 and didnt start trying again until i was 32, had difficulty getting pregnant and ended up having IUI treatment on NHS. after 3 attempts fell pregnant and it was plain sailing after that. 2 years after the birth i fell pregnant naturally but unfortunately suffered another misscarriage at 9 weeks. not trying anymore.
