I need to find a good site that does Home DNA Test Fits that i can send of then they can test.
My Ex Had ababy over 2 years ago now and i dont know if the Child is mine ! Shes happy for me to get a DNA Test kit so we can see if the baby is mine.
Can someone Link me to a good site that does this please , Thanks Jason . Also if you been in this Situation please explain what you did to help it, as i would hate to get this Test done and find out that the Baby is not Mine as i was there at the Birth.
Whats the best way to deal with it ! as i Still have alot of Feeling for my ex and the baby and its been over 2 years now :(

A girl I work with used this site to get a paternity test done I think it cost about £150 and they also have information about getting a test done through the courts etc.
I've just looked at the site and it has a free dna testing kit which they send out - not sure of you pay for the results though so take a look yourself.
Her boyfriend was the father and they got back on track with the help of counselling for them both to get over the experience.
I would recommend counselling no matter what the outcome of your test is, it will help everyone involved.
It will obviously devestate you to find out that this child is not in fact yours so, I would be vary careful to ensure that you speak to somebody about your feelings as soon as the results come back. Even if they are positive you could find yourself having some relationship problems if you don't discuss how this has made you feel.
I hope I have at least been some help to you, good luck with everything, I really hope it all turns out exactly as you want it to.
you can have the test done without having to send off for a home kit, then if the baby is not yours you dont pay for it (not that thats a bonus) if you pay CSA yu can speak to them if not i think you can ask your doctor or a healt visitor, or try the cab
Most websites are for people who want to do a DNA test without the partner knowing! There was also a case of a doctor making up the results!
I suggest you ask your GP if it is possible to get a test done. If you are paying child support, the courts may be able to help you.
Whatever the results, it does not stop you being a father figure to the child. Discuss with your ex what happens if you are not the father. Will you still be able to see the baby? but just imagine how good it will be for the baby - two daddies (three if your ex marries!) - lots of christmas and birthday presents! Lots of people to go to for advice take them out and so on - and just think of the number of grandparents available to spoil them!
However, the child does deserve to know who the father is. There may be health and other considerations for the future. And the child may resent it in the future if they find out that who they thought of as Daddy was not - and that their real father had never had a chance to get to know them.
However, with any luck, you will be proven to be the father. Good luck with one of the hardest jobs around!
