Hello..can you have a negative pregnancy test result then 10 days later have a positive one?
Answers:
yes, you can. Sometimes it takes a while before the hormones in your body can be detected by the tests, so 10 days later that might've changed & it could give you a positive!
Here is something else I've just found:
If you take a test too early, you may get a false negative (when the test says you are not pregnant but you are). Your body needs time for the hormone to rise to a high enough level to be detected in a test. If the test comes back negative but you still think you could be pregnant, wait a few days and try again.
Yes you can xx
yes irrelevant if you have had sex. apparently sammy the super sperm can live for three days before he goes on a date with edna egg.
Yes you can. It takes some time for the pregnancy hormones to build up enough to register on a test.
Yes. It takes a while for hcg--the pregnancy hormone to build up and be excreeted in your urine and can cause you to get a negative before a positive.
well that happens sometimes, perhaps you took the test too early.
Yes. You probably took the first one before there was enough of the pregnancy hormone in your system to be detected by a pregnancy test. Go to your doctor and have them administer one to be sure.
definitely. Home pregnancy tests, while they are very reliable most of the time, are not fool-proof. You should go see your doctor if you suspect you are pregnant. Here are some resources for you. Hope this helps and good luck!
YES
Yes you can. It was negative the first time because, the titer of your hormone was not enough to produce a positive result. As the pregnancy progresses, the titer increases and the test now will become positive. But have a third one to serve as a confirmatory test.
Absolutely
oh yes, you betchya.
Yes, when you took the first pregnancy test it was probably to early to tell but now you are producing the hormones and you got a positive reading, so you are pregnant. Congratulations.
yes it took 5 to come up positive with my last child
yes
Absolutely! I had at least 5 before doctors confirmed my first pregnancy and two of them were in perfect hospital test conditions!
yes, its totally possible, your body just needed more time to produce those hormones that show up in pregnancy tests, congrats!
Yes. The hormones may not have been strong enough when you first did the test.
Yes, probably because you took the first pregnancy test too soon when the pregnancy was just getting started. It takes a couple weeks for the embryo to root itself in the uterus and cause the chemical changes that the pregnancy test is designed to detect.
yes as it can be to early to detect the pregancy hormone with the first one
yes, i took 5 or 6 before mine came back positive.
Yes, you can. Occasionally, pregnancy tests can give false negative readings, but they do not give false positive readings. Sorry, but this is fact. You'll have to ask your doctor why, because I don't have the answer to that one.
Yes, especially if you're using a home test kit. But just to be on the safe side, go to the doctors and get it done properly.
When I first took a test with my first daughter, the test came out negative. Four days later, I took the second and it came out positive. So yes you can take a test one day or even one week and the next have a positive.
with my 3 rd baby i did a test when i was a cple of days late and it was neg, so i left it 7days and it was positive. you were just not that far on for the first test to pick it up
yes you can huni xx
Yes you can same thing happened to me first test was negative but i had all the symptoms so did another one 7 days later and it was positive. You can only get a false negative not a false positive unless you miscarry.
Hope this helps
Good luck xx
Absolutely i know because this happened to me when iw as pregnant with my son, on the 27 my test was negative and on the 6 it was positive.
