No Period for 8 weeks, but pregnancy tests are negative?

I came off the pill in July after finishing the pack. I had my 'fake period' 3 days later as usual. Came back off holiday in September and shortly after had a water infection, during this time I had what I though was a period, it wasn't the same as usual as there wasn't as much blood and only lasted a couple of days. This was 8 weeks ago. Since then i've had what thought like period pains and one morning of tiny blood. Pregnany test was last took a week ago but came up negative.
Im scared something is wrong with me. Im going to family planning clinnic on Monday but have the feeling there just going to tell me that everyone's body is different.
Is there a certain amount of time you can't have a period that it affects your chances of getting pregnant. Or should I not be worried. Thank you

Answers:
You sound worried, stress can severely disrupt the periods, but try not to worry, and ask the right questions, don't prejudge their response, if there is something wrong, I am sure they will tell you.
could you be going through the change?
it sounds like your body is just trying to get back to a normal cycle. im sure it wont effect your chances of having a baby at all. youre doing the right thing visiting your clinic and they will give you all the advice you need. good luck xx
coming off of the pill can affect your period. when i came off of it i had irregular short periods until i got pregnant. your bady just has to get back into the swing of things since there are not any fake hormones. but i would go to the doctor/clinic just to make sure.
You could also be having an annovulatory cycle. You should see a doc to discuss this. They can give you some Prometrium to jump start your cycle again.
Please go to your GP or family planning clinic, they will better qualified than the random people sending advice here. If you has not sex or used barrier protection then should be fine, as no form of contraception is safe ( unless you get sterilised) . Taking the pill really does screw up the body homones and you will get irregular flows and I am sure the FPC wil say the same and be able to put your concieous at rest. propbaly what will happen you will suddenly have a heavry period and that what be fun. Of course other things affects your period like stress or taking other drugs ( legal or illegal kind) . Pregancy tests are very accrate as they work on hormones in the body and when you are pregnant it would show up. I hope this puts your mind at rest untl you can see the god people at FPC. And this is advice from a bloke!
Some of the signs of pregnancy are missed period, fulless or mild ache in your lower abdomen. Feeling tiered, drowsy or faint. And periods of nausia, expecialy in the mornings. These signs can be pregnancy but they can also lead to serious problems. Go to your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. Also being sick, dieting and weight loss can contribute to a missed period.
you shouldnt be worried many womans can go without periods for months and not be pregenant
I am so glad that you asked this question. This is also happening to me. In 10 weeks, I have had 1 period that was hardly worth it. (I came off the mini pill mid September)
I was starting to worry that the test was wrong so did another one. Still negative.
I think I will take a trip to the docs now though!
