For Everyone Asking!!?
Thanks to all that ask about if they are pregnant or not. I have some advice for you. We aren't doctors on here. We are just people. If you think you might be pregnant take a test or go to the doctor. They won't bite you I promise. They will give you great advice and show you what you need to do.
Also, I know many of you are scared that is why you ask. Please feel free to ask all you want. But know we aren't doctors and we can't solve your problem. I wish I could help so many of you because I have been in the same boat. But the best advice is if you think you are pregnant take a test or make an appointment. I promise everything will work out.
This post wasn't to hurt anyone's feelings or put down anyone. I just think its something that needs to be said. :)

a very good point, well said.
Everyone was thinking, you were saying!!
Thanks i think people should know that too. Good info!
Yeah that does need to be said and probably several times an hour since that question is asked so frequently.
Thank you! I do think it needed to be said. Sometimes maybe they just needed a little confidence nudge in the right direction of a doctor. Thanks for posting!
WELL SAID!!
thanks for speaking up.
what about all the people who ask us if they're fat or not? who cares?
they're going to delete this soon! (because it's "in violation of community guidelines"...buggers!)
People should feel entitled to ask whatever they want. For example, I am not a teacher but I can help with homework questions if I wish. Some people on here might well be doctors or midwives and adequately qualified to answer medical or pregnancy related questions. If you don't like the question, move on. When I myself was pregnant I found it very reassuring to hear other peoples experiences and opinions. So carry on ladies, ask away. And don't promise the ladies that everything will work out as 1 in 4 pregnancies don't, doctor.
I thought doctor's are people too . oop's .thank's anyway good advice
Women and girls who come on here thinking they might be preggers aren't coming on here because they are expecting us to solve their problems or expecting answers from doctors, they are coming on here for support and advice.
They aren't stupid, they know they should take a test and find out for sure but they have to come to terms with what may be happening to them, they just need to get things off their chest.
IMHO what you have stated didn't need to be said at all, you may not be trying to offend anyone but I do feel slightly offended even though I am not pregnant, the way I have taken what you have said is that these women shouldn't be as "naive" as to post any queries about being pregnant on here.
As far as I'm concerned, since this is called UKQnA.com then they can ask whatever they want, whenever they want, it's your choice whether or not you want to answer.
GO GIRL YOU SAID IT
Good point but there are doctors and nurses who use this site and do answer questions then there are people who pretend to be doctors and nurses so your advise above is well put.
I am an ex nurse (truth) however I am not god and would never give a diagnosis I tend to offer support advise which is always go to your doctor.
i agree!! you do have a point. as a nurse myself, we do know the answers but at times not all and sometimes maybe others will guess to try to solve the problem. still, the doctor is the first one to see if in doubt.and err..can i ask how will i know if im pregnant or just delayed with my period? har har har.that was a joke. course im not. just winding you up.but very well said girl!
I know from all your questions you were truly worried, and I am glad you have now got thing straightened out.
You did not say, are you pregnant or not?
here here i totally agree with u
I agree with you so much.
And in reading some of the other answers, I have to say that *some* of the questions on here about "Am I pregnant (or pregnate)?" seem like they couldn't possibly come from anyone who has the slightest clue about human reproduction. I'm all for seeking advise and answers, but sometimes, you really have to wonder if they even know how things work. My favorites are the "We didn't have sex and/or he didn't ejaculate, could I be pregnant?"
And at the same time, if you know you're pg, and you're cramping and bleeding, WHY are you NOT at a doc's office seeking face-to-face professional advise, instead of hanging around your computer asking people who couldn't possibly know from the information given?
And the ones that present their questions as a math problem. OMG.
Trust me, I understand that if you don't want to be pg and think you might be, that you'd be looking for advise, but then I always think "Take precautions". So many girls (so many teenagers!) post questions where they'd had unprotected sex and now are worried about being pg. Hello? And if you're trying, I REALLY know how hard it can be to wait, but that's really all you can do, just wait and see and take a test.
i have said the same on here 2 many people they ask questions that only a doc could answer & even if there r a 100 docs on here they should no much better then 2 give an answer with out seeing them & yes it needed 2 b said again
i understand what u are saying and a dr is always a good place to start especially if you are having a pv bleed or pain while pregnant but sometimes i think the mummy to be's on here jsut need a little reassurance and not only that but i know for a fact that when pregnant with my daughter my dr recited stuff to me from a text book (i had read the same one) and when i had my 5th miscarraige he just said ok heidi go home as you know what to do you have been through it many times before and call me when you need to book your rescan and D & C and sent me on my way.
But im not arguing with you im just saying i can see it from both points of view hun.
i agree with you. I am so sick of people asking on here am i pregnet. How the hell do we know. Go to the doctors or clinic and get a test done. Or hell even the dollar store now sells hoem test .
I agree 100 % with you and thank you so much for saying it!
