Why my baby doesnt want to use dummy?

Answers:
some children are into them and some aren't. think of it as a good thing. he obviously doesn't feel the need for one.
my son was permenently attached to his, couldn't get it away from him. Suddenly he hates it.
Sensible, wise, baby - never used them with mine. You don't have to worry about the germs etc. and also weaning off them. 10/10 for baby - don't worry Mummy & Daddy.
There could be many reasons, try another comfort instead. Maybe a big teddy or a soft blanket. Some people find them better than a dummy because they doesn't harm the baby in any way. Whilst a dummy can harm the baby's teeth once they start growing.
because your baby doesn't like it.
that is good .my mum cudnt take my brother dummy off him for 5 years!!
Count your blessings, Lady!
Because they're horrible. Don't use them.
I've got 6 kids and only one wanted a dummy so don't worry it's up to them
Be Thankful..
Is he breast fed? Mine did not have them either, just spit them away as far as possible, the taste is pretty awful try it yourself and see
i never used a dummy, i spat it out and refused, whereas my daughter only settles at night with hers! at least its one less thing to wein your child off. try a teddy or comfort blanket, or a plain old mummy's special cuddle
sensible baby not easily fooled will get on well in life....dummies are for dummies
Smart child.mine wouldn't take one either.which was fine with me..they are terrible things anyways.
Neither of my babies used one . It is normal for some to choose not to
because she hasn't been influenced with one i assume. my daughter would never take a dummy either, to which i am thankful for as her cousin(s) did. Going to bed my daughter simply sucks her thumb, the cousins have to have their dummy, etc.. plus we don't have to wean her off the dummy. Personally think it is better as you feel (even at a young age) self comfort. no need for accessories.
I have never heard of a dummy. Everyone else seems to know.
then its ok, dont force her/him to have one
WTF?
Probably prefers the real thing. You didn't say whether it's a boy or a girl, but as a member of the male persuasion, even now I still prefer the real thing.
What is dummy?
Because your baby is obviously more intelligent than you are. Dummies are horrible, unhygienic things used by lazy parents to keep their babies quiet.
If you're baby is a newborn its probably because they are so tough, sometimes if you buy a preemie one it helps but I noticed they tend to give a lot of colic to smaller babies. My two boys used one but both my girls hated them. You just have to find something that they like, soft blankie, stuffed animal, certain types of fabric bring them solace, things that they can associate with you.
hey tht is a good thing! my 4 month daughter doesnt use one. she has a muzzy- a tea towel sized blankie.
thank your lucky stars, you should be glad it doesn't want a dummy, because its a nightmare getting a child of it,
Sucking is a baby's primary source of comfort, if not a dummy then a bottle or breast. Your baby is probably making it up somewhere else. Parents who don't offer anything for a baby suck on before 3 months should know that they are taking away their opportunity to comfort themselves, after that time they start to find their own hands and can suck on them! If your baby is calm and not crying then she doesn't need a dummy, she's obviously happy and isn't that the most important thing?!
some babies just dont like them, u should be grateful anyway coz its sooooo hard to get dummies from them.my daughter is nearly 5 and starts school wednesday and i still cant part her from it! x
omg look at all you mums passing judgment on dummies, you as mums should know better than that, every baby is different, and some like dummies while some dont, who is wrong, the mother who is determined to not use dummy and has upset child, or the mum who finds solution to baby's crying and need for sucking, i think the latter, you could try a cherry teat dummy, i find that the flat teat dummies are harder for the baby to hold in mouth. best of luck, and always do what you have to to have a happy stress free parenting experience, so many mums out there put tremendous pressure on themselves because of silly comments like you have had, do what is best for you and remember, you dont have to make it even harder on yourself! x
your baby is probably contented without one, don't force him/her.
