You may not want to go "Highstreet" but Marks and Spencers do a fantastic caterpillar cake that tastes just as good as it looks every party I've hosted the kids ate every bit of it. go eraly to get a chioce of other cakes too
marks n spencer do really nice cakes for kids, look fantastic n taste great. however if your in a rush try tesco.com , here u can choose the cakes online n get them delivered to your door. good luck.
Why buy a cake that will only impress the adults? Kids are not impressed by cakes.
If you really want to make a lasting memory with your children, bake one and let them help. The older one is perfectly capable of helping to mix the cake and both of them will enjoy being with you and decorating it.
If you're looking to impress the kids at the party, make a small cake with your kids and cupcakes for all the other kids. DO NOT frost or decorate them, but let the kids to it themselves. Provide a table with different frostings, sprinkles and decorations.
When then are grown, they are not going to remember the awesome cake you bought when they were five, but they will certainly remember that you made their cakes together with them and didn't even care that they made a mess.
Good Luck!
