Pregnancy in relation to your cycle?

How is it related? If you get your period a week before or after the time you expect it, are you still pregnant? If you have your period, does that mean you're not pregnant?

Answers:
If you are on a 'regular', predictable 28-day menstrual cycle, you would conceivably (har, har) begin your period on day one of that cycle. You would likely ovulate on day 14 of that cycle. Pregnancy is possible once ovulation has occurred or is occurring (ignoring how long sperm can remain viable in the woman).

If you get your period, you are most likely not pregnant.
However, some women do experience what is called 'implantation bleeding', which may or may not seem like your regular period.

Also (from personal experience), you may experience pre-menstrual symptoms around the 'usual' time, but not get your period.

The best idea in this situation is to take a home pregnancy test, easily available at any pharmacy or drug store, and use it once you've missed your period. Some tests claim to detect pregnancy before that, but the most accurate ones won't.

If you suspect you may be pregnant, it is vital that you see your doctor as soon as possible.
most of the time yes .. but on very rare occasions women can have there period through out there pregnancy
You could be pregnant so buy a home pregnancy kit. Ussually you don't have periods while pregnant but it is possible especially if the periods are light
If your period comes a week before or a week later than you expect, it just means you have an irregular period. Irregular period means, your cycle is 28 days one month, and then 34 the next, or 36 the next month.

Generally, if you have your period, that means you're not pregnant.
Some women (me being one of them) bleed slightly when the embryo attaches, this usually occurs two weeks after you actually conception (about the time your next period is due), so it is possible that you are pregnant, take a test!
Sometimes you can get your period. but if it's light or just lats for a couple of days then you might be pregnant.. but if it's like all you other period. then your not.
