Can test show positive be wrong?

Answers:
no, you cant get a false positive. the tests pick up the "baby" hormone so you wont get a positive unless there's a baby in there
Yes it can.
yes, sometimes.
Nope - you can get a false negative but not a false positive.
Not usually. Sometimes it it possible to get a false negative, but very rare to get a false positive.
Yes it's possible to get a false positive. Buy another test, of a different brand, to be sure. Or call your doctor to set up an appointment. Good luck!
It happens alot.. Go to clinic to be sure...
probably..
yes expecaily if your on birth control, it happens often too often to be honest.

Best thing to do is test again with another brand, if it's cheaply made (even high dollars ones can be wrong), it can say yes when your not.
no you only make hcg when pregnant
Yes it can your best bet would be to go to a doctor.
its extremely rare whereas false negatives happen all the time..

for the test to show positive some of the pregnancy hormone has to be there..
No.
Yes, a hpt that shows a positive can be wrong. The only way to be really sure is to go to the doctor and have bloodwork done!
Good luck and best wishes!
They are 99% accurate so there is always that 1% chance, they are not infallable. Your best bet would be to go to your doctor and get them to check you out. Its better to be safe than sorry.
It is possible, but those are very slim odds.
yes
In some very rare cases like if you are taking certain steriods, but most of the time no, positive means its positive.
Yeah but it very unlikely

Basically, no, you can't get a false positive but some tests show an evaporation line. Check out the website.
If you followed the instuctions, it is probably right. Try another brand, then if it's positive go to the doctor.

Good luck!
yes it can. you should request another one from a different tester next time.
I've never heard of a false positive. There has to be a certain level of the hgc hormone in you urine/blood. So I would say that there is always a posibility that there could be a false negative but not a false positive.
no for ur safety u can check it once again but ussaly it is right.
Most likely not, but you can take another one and find out.
I never heard of anyone having a false positive. You can very well be pregnant, if you're not satisfied with the result, then go to the doctor.
most mums never believe a + result i myself always asked the gp " are you sure i am " and of cause the answer was always yes you really are, to get a positive result the hormone HAS to be there.
any doctor would tell you that a false can be wrong but not very many if any + are wrong.
good luck
never because the tests only react to the pregnancy hormone in the urine. If the hormone is not there it will not show even a faint line.

Some people claim that they were false but in actual fact what has happened is an early miscarriage which they just thought was a heavy period.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
It is possible, but very rare. Its more usual to get a false negative.

Id get yourself to the docs.

Not very often congratulations!!
Not usually. If it's positive than that's it.
